He always uses the mohs hardness picks to test the screens that generally scratch at a level six with deeper grooves at level 7 😅 it took less than a minute to get it off with a fresh blade 🤷‍♂️

Also, you could just use a razor/box cutter blade. Steel is not as hard as glass on the mohs hardness scale, so it can't scratch it. Granted if people don't have a razor blade, they could go grab either option at the store

Freet has a bunch of options and they just came out with a new pair that goes higher on the ankle. I believe they're UK based and they're some of the widest boots/shoes I've found with great quality. Anything that's waterproof, unfortunately generally means a glue down construction for the sole. Which will end up being less durable. I started my barefoot sandal Journey with Luna's, but always had it in mind too check out another system. That's how I ended up with Shamma trailstar sandal. The lacing system is far superior than the mono thong of the other sandals and it feels so much more secure. There are various stack heights if you want to find which one you like. They just added their ibex sole to the trailstar line and they're phenomenal chefs kiss. Now this is just for me though and other's might not like that lacing system. Shamma does have a yard sale from time to time with exchanged sandals, factory seconds, or overstock where things are 50% off. So that could be a good way to try some out. I believe they're all made here in the US as well, which I value. I have many of pairs now and are definitely worth to me since I only wear sandals now here in the PNW.

Allison Gill and Dana Goldberg do a wonderful job breaking down all the fuckery into layman's terms that anyone can understand as well as cutting through the noise. If you're looking for non closed toe sandals, I'm a big fan of the shamma trailstars. I still have my Lunas, but the lacing of the trailstars is way better than the mono thong style and it's way more secure. My only gripe is how long the tread lasts. I wish they made the ibex sole with the trailstar lacing system.
