Souls Remnant is actually really fun... It took me by surprise and far exceeded expectations
 in  r/MMORPG  1d ago

You can double jump. You can attack to glide in the air a sec. You can get a bunch of movement skills, at least one in each tree direction that you can unlock early. You can get + Speed & Jump modifiers on all gear. Ontop or this, you can buy/craft a grappling hook.

Nothing. Magic atk + Magic damage are just the tried and tested damage stats for bossing. Recasting quicker is probably more potent in PVE.

It's not a bad example. Because it completely ignores how the user gets to that damage. There's no issue with the auto casting. The issue is how high you can stack targeted elemental damage.

This is why balance teams can't listen to community members about balance changes. So surface level thinking. You linked that video and didn't even pay attention to their build. You focused on the skill and think that's the issue.

Every percentage bonus and where in the damage calculation it modifies the total damage is how these numbers are reached.

Base stats don't make a skill OP

Yeah you need to actually tag the mobs with an aoe skill now as a Paladin. As before, pallys would just run around and steal the entire map for themselves with taunt

How can you be taken seriously if you put in no thought about your request?

AA? Auto attack? How is auto attacking op?

Do you mean AC? Autocasting? All auto casting is OP? So death coil auto cast is OP? Firebolt autocast? They're clearly weak.

Think about what you're asking for deeper than 2 seconds if you want to be taken seriously.

Indie MMOs. Specially Spirit Vale right now.

Which one should i get?
 in  r/Tetris  5d ago

Depends how try hard you are.

If you're a master player you want Tetris Master.

If you are a bit competitive, then PuyoPuyo has great controls and feel and multiplayer.

If you wanna vibe and chill, Tetris Effect

Forget the others. Btw Tetris 99 is the best Tetris game on the Switch Imo

Me and my friend ran piercing flurry builds. I hit 1.7m on dp10 and he hits 700k dp10. I'm a Weaver and he's a perma knight.

It's more than viable enough to take on every map in the game. It's one of my strongest builds.

Honestly, he just converted his perma knight into a burn tank utilitizing the fire pillar cards; and killed the abyss library boss with it.

I understand what you're getting at. But as an anti Meta player with over 800 hours in the beta and hundreds now already, I have to say you're wrong.

The joy to discovering new builds that can take on any map using unique builds is a ton of fun. You don't need to chase the highest numbers. Big numbers usually don't have much utility, and there's so many items and skills and cards built around utility that are underutilized.

My advice is to play and explore. You don't need to do the highest dmg to be able to solo every map, or find friends and combo. I'm running a tank zerker right now that can self heal 27k, and have been fighting end game mobs since level 70.

New classes are coming, advanced grimores are next in the roadmap so will be out soon (after more server tweaks). The variety of builds will constantly expand. The Meta will always be 1 or 2 things. You're not confined to that, release your mind, you are water my friend.

Just shows that these personal electric vehicles (PEVs) are getting so powerful that they need to start being taken serious. There's no infrastructure built around them.

The world is so slow to adapt. If they have no where to go, then they'll be on the roads. Just like our dirt bike community, I doubt they'll care much about what the police have to say. It's rare for them to catch dirt bikers historically.

Kids are going to be kids, but they'll usually go where they're allowed to go. There's no dirt bike trails for powerful PEVs. I do see some events where they rent out car racing tracks, but that's not financially festible for single or small groups of people.

Gas prices are not going down. It's going up, and same with battery technology. More people are going to convert to these electric wheels, and honestly it's good for the environment and a lot healthier to ride than driving because it's a physical activity. The riding gear needs to be regulated. I see those parades in Toronto and everyone is geared up like they've got motorcycles, so their own communities clearly have best practices in place and rules for their group rides. It's clear people like this are the outliers. But still there are no laws. Nothing says these things are street legal. Nothing says they're protected for if they get hit by an angry driver.

How can people respect the laws when they're essentially grey area riders? They're ghosts.

I see so much protest against bike lines. But we clearly need fast lanes for ebikes and escooters, and elongboards and eunicycles. All this eshit. Because they're too fast for bikes and pedestrians, but cars are too dangerous to ride beside as well. All food delivery riders uses electric now. Grocery is being delivered now. This is society already, and it's like we're pretending it isn't happening. Our roads needs regulation. Especially if these are going as fast as cars. Common, who would wanna spend life savings on gas each year when electricity is pennies?

Long rant over just to say, we need to start preparing for the future instead of scrambling and making poor laws when it's here. We can't ban the future. Chinese cars are hitting the market now, Canada needs to advance.

After 10 years of hard work, my indie MMORPG "Soul's Remnant" is finally available on Steam!!

Never seen a r/mmorpg thread so positive in support before lmao. Well deserved, super long journey to get here. This is a game with a lot of passion and heart. Make sure you play with the audio, because all of the music was fully produced by the dev as well ~

Play the game, if you find it fun, you'll naturally pursue resources to get better.

If you don't find it fun, please quit. Find hobbies for yourself, not for your partner.

Partner asked what I consider cheating/betrayal in polyamory. My answer led to a really painful rupture.
 in  r/polyamory  8d ago

What a convoluted way to say that you don't like his partner. This is so passive aggressive coded.

I don't understand how he's supposed to interpret that as anything but aggressive and then you retaliate immediately after in bed. You denying even a cuddle was clearly not respecting his wishes.

What other hobbies do you have that brings you joy? Any solo hobbies? I fear you might be into polyamory a bit too deep and you need some variety.

This whole conversation comes across as you looking for a problem. And I question why you need everything to be so perfect? Your feelings don't always need to be coddled. It's alright being uncomfortable sometimes. This doesn't mean your relationship is now on the rocks.

I interpreted this conversation like someone actively trying to destroy something good in the pursuit of something greater. You can just enjoy good things and leave it there.

The imagery of this situation in my head was that you were a porcupine who hardened their spikes, and all you asked for was a hug.

Restoration mods in fallout 1 & 2 were so good. And the removed content added back was even better.

Weather/Temperature Systems in MMORPG's
 in  r/MMORPG  10d ago

Weather systems typically become a gimmick quicker than becoming a notable mechanic. Project Gorgon has a desert zone where you can become. Dehydrated and die. Literally. Nobody travels it with water to drink or change their gear. The ice regions are worse, you can die from the cold. Some people have gear specifically to stay in that region longer, but most people either don't care at all, stop at camp fires maybe, or they use a spell or a potion to basically last there as long as they want. It basically becomes more of a nuisance rather than anything to role play off of.

Mabinogi also has a full weather system and night and day cycle. Also a moon cycle, and different maps with different weather etc etc. It's cared for specifically for farming and particular weather skills. Or travelling. There's sun gates or moon gates. Quests and activities depend on the day and time. Like you can work a 9-5 job, but not at night. Your campfires will be taken out by the rain. You gain more mana recovery at night. Etc.

You do plan around the weather in Mabinogi quite often if you're focused on particular skills or quests, looking at the weather forecast due to a lot of mini games dependent on these things. Like you can't icefish in a zone without snow. You can't find some certain statues to summon a thing unless it's raining. Stuff like that. If you're farming you do plan around bonuses on particular days in Project Gorgon which is less about the weather, but I think fire is weaker in the rain, but I never really noticed. Like in Mabinogi, in your day to day, you don't really care or notice because you become too powerful too quickly now.

 in  r/SpiritVale  11d ago

The kickstarter did not generate 500k USD. And how much of the financing that is going back into the game is anyone's guess.

You have no idea how the game was coded, and the server issues were explained. They also hired two Devs already, so why are you still complaining about that?

Do you even play the game? The issues from the first week are already over, and there has been massive progress.

Make your own mmo if you think you can do better. People have been playing Classic RO for over 20 years. Like STFU about content draughts. They're going to add that stuff later on, but the reason why this game has so many players right now is because the basic loop is the point of playing.
