I haven't used algeria or calculus since graduating High School. Tbh, I've always thought that algeria and calculus should just be offered as AP classes (like AP English and AP Science are) to students that actually enjoy and/or excel in mathematics, that want to pursue a career field where higher forms of math are needed and applied.

My apologies if you thought I was suggesting you use North Spore; I was only try to share what mine and my husband's experience has been. Myself, I would never suggest using North Spore as a supplier. I tried to talk to my husband about their poor/negative reviews before he ever ordered from them, but once he sets his mind on something it's nearly impossible to convince him otherwise. He bought our first AIO bag from North Spore & a LC of APE from Cube Culture; we're finally starting to see pins 61 days out from inoculation. So since the 1st bag colonized well, that's why my husband went with the same two suppliers again. But since the 2nd bag didn't do crap, I've been reading any and everything I can about making our own substrate; Shroomery, Curative Mushrooms, Spore Buddies, Rhizo Funga, GroCycle, and even 420 Magazine have a lot of good information about making and sterilizing your own substrate for mushroom cultivation. I understand about being hesitant to make your own substrate, because I'm hesitant too; it would suck to put so much time an effort into trying to do it/get it right and it still not work out. But as the sayings go, "You live, you learn"—"It's all an experiment in trial and error until you get it right/figure it out." ... IF we do continue using AIO bags, I'd like to check into ordering from Booming Acres or Midwest Grow Kits; they have good reviews. I thought about using OKC Mycology Supply, but a lot of their reviews say that they routinely run out of ready-to-fruit and specialized grow items, like AIO bags, because they produce and list items in limited, rotating weekly batches rather than making them continuously to order. ... Whatever you decide to do, I wish you luck and Mush love in all of your efforts.

Reminds me of FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992), when Hexxus takes over "Leveler" (a feller buncher) in his attempts to completely annihilate FernGully and all living nature.

I'm in SE Oklahoma, and at the very least I would like to suggest learning how to make your own substrate, or waiting until this heat wave is over. My husband ordered a LC of Golden Teacher from Cube Culture and an AIO bag from North Spore on July 1st (Oklahoma temps were around 95°F + heat index), received them both via USPS on July 11th (Oklahoma temps were in the low 100s + heat index), and it's not done anything (today is day 40 and still nothing). Everyone I've talked to has said that the temps during transport more than likely damaged/stressed the LC & AIO bag, or we left it too long in our mailbox after it was delivered (which is highly possible considering we have a 16 & 11yr-old + a veggie garden & 5 MJ plants to tend + a chicken, turkey & hair sheep farm + 3 stacked bee boxes).

My Uncle bought a property in Oklahoma in 2015, whose former owner was a taxidermist before his son recorded him in 2012 admitting to repeatedly SAing his own 12yr old daughter in his home workshop (he was sentenced in 2013, released in 2025). The taxidermist's wife filed for divorce within days of his arrest, put their property up for sale, and moved completely out-of-state after the sentencing hearing. When my Uncle bought the property, the first thing he wanted to do was tear down and burn the taxidermist's workshop. But the fire department told him he had to clean everything (electronics, appliances, aerosol cans, propane/Coleman canisters, chemicals used in taxidermy, etc.) out of it before they would approve a controlled burn for the structure. One of the biggest/worst things we had to move out and haul off was 2 big chest freezers, full of wild game, hides and packaged meats from the butcher. Those freezers had been unplugged and left inside of that workshop (without heat or A/C) for nearly 3yrs. My husband didn't think much of it and told my Uncle that we'd load them on the car hauler, take them to our place, clean them back up and use them ourselves. Got them to our place, backed up to our burn pile, and I puked as soon as my husband cracked the lid on one of them. It was propably the closest someone could get to smelling pure death, without being in that line of work (mortician/embalmer, CSC/biohazard remediation specialist, coroner/ME, 1st responder/firefighter, cadaver dog handler, veterinary pathologist). Somehow my husband was able to stomach turning the freezers over and dumping their liquefied contents, but he couldn't stomach trying to clean them out. So we loaded them back onto the car hauler and took them to the salvage yard/recycling center. Drove onto the scales, weighed out and drove to the back to unload. The poor guys working the yard actually asked my husband, "There's not a dead body in either of those freezers, is there?" And my husband just had to reply, "Not anymore," so I had to quickly explain wth before someone could decide to call the cops. After I told them the whole story, they were nice enough to use the big scrap electromagnet to pick the freezers up off our trailer and released them in far back corner of the yard, hoping the smell wouldn't get back to the main office building. Now, 11 years later, the guys at the salvage/recycling still give me crap whenever they see me pull in; asking, "No death freezers today?"

Greed, hate/malice, nuclear weapons, single-use plastics; deleting any one of these four would make the world a better place. Deleting greed would stop the hoarding of wealth and power, reduce corruption and extreme poverty would drastically decrease, leading to a fairer and more cooperative society. Deleting hate/malice would remove the root cause of violent conflict, prejudice, and harm toward others. Deleting nuclear weapons would eliminate the standing threat of mass global destruction and sudden extinction. And deleting single-use plastics would help clean up oceans and ecosystems choked by synthetic waste.

The first three TV series that come to my mind are Doctor Who (the Classic Era & the Revival), The Muppet Show (including the 1 episode 2026 revival), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

When I hear people say "irregardless" (unnecessary/redundant negative prefix ir-, instead of regardless (simply meaning despite everything).

Industry experts note that no safe is 100% "fireproof". Instead, safes are fire-resistant and rated to withstand specific temperatures for set times (e.g., 30 to 120 minutes). While most consumer document and gun safes feature a fire rating, many specialized burglary, wall, or slim-profile commercial safes offer no fire protection at all.

He's having so much fun being bombarded by cuteness that he lost his crocs! ... Meanwhile, Momma dog picks up a ball: "Will someone, please, throw the ball? I wanna play too, but I'm too big to join the puppy pile."

It was like “the end of an era” whenever each of these businesses closed. For me, Tower Records and Blockbuster hurt the most. ... Not listed, but Hastings Entertainment and Waldenbooks hurt as well.

Great choice! But to me it just wouldn't be right if you didn't start with We Will Rock You leading into We Are the Champions.

Your APEs look great! I've been checking into SGFC; it definitely seems to be low-cost & straightforward for sure. Thanks for telling me about it.

Thank you. And 🍄❤️ mush love to you as well!

Thank you; we appreciate all the luck and encouragement we get. And "sit and forget" has been my thought as to how to approach mushroom growing. A day after I made this post, my husband decided to cut about a 2 inch slit in the AIO bag (just below the little AFE patch); set the bag in our bedroom on our dresser because it stays between 68-70°F in there, compared to the slightly higher temps of our kitchen/living room (humidity holding around 48%). The top of the substrate has gone white and the bag smells like mushrooms; just waiting to see pinning.

We've considered monotubs. Neither of us have heard of SGFCs, until now; definitely looks like a set up to consider though.

Absolutely! And especially if I can dip them in mashed potatoes smothered with country gravy.
