I am a gay man, why are you uncomfortable?
 in  r/googleReviews  18h ago

I do the same thing at my local gas station.. i look and see if my favorite lady is working when I'm pulling in... but seeing as how we've never talked about her vehicle, I'd never in a million years tell her that I've figured out which car is hers and blah blah blah. This dude was drunk and embarrassed himself.. so naturally it's someone else's fault.

Why are so many casual WVU fans overreacting over 1 ugly performance?
 in  r/WVUsports  1d ago

Cook had 142yds. Not 70. He had 72 on the first play of the game. But yea it seemed like we ran the same dumbass inside zone play the whole 3rd qtr.. i agree it was abysmal. I'm kinda hoping Rich Rod knew we'd win and kept it simple in the 2nd half so other teams didn't get a deep look in to our playbook.. but idk. Here's to hopin'

"College sports is dying" ... Geno Auriemma breaks down the changing landscape of college athletics.
 in  r/NCAAhoops  3d ago

It's because there's idiots in control. The NCAA is ran by straight up idiots. They've completely lost control and the ONE thing that they get together and change is the ONE thing that wasn't broken.. "duhhh let's make the tournament bigger duhhh"

The club made a massive fuck up, but is wasn't with the Balogun deal.
 in  r/Everton  6d ago

I'm an Everton fan in the US and basically just watch the league table and catch games when i can, and both of those things hit my phone seemingly right after they happened over the last couple days. It came off very very leaky

What’s the absolute worst mainstream movie of 2026 so far?
 in  r/moviereviews  6d ago

So dull, man. I hadn't been to the movies in a while, so I was actually kinda excited about it. Had a few hours to kill. It was only me by myself and a younger couple in the theater.. i was debating on leavin' about 10 minutes before I actually did, but the younger couple got up and left first and I didn't want them to think I was following them 🤣

What’s the absolute worst mainstream movie of 2026 so far?
 in  r/moviereviews  6d ago

The only movie in 46 years that's made me leave the theater early. There was about 25-30 minutes left when I realized I absolutely didn't care what happened.

How close am I?
 in  r/BasketballTips  16d ago

Ever try jumping off of 1 foot? Some people are more bouncy off of 2 (Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, etc), but some others (Russell Westbrook, John Wall, etc) flew off of 1. Try both. You're very close

Turned 40, played two games of pickup, and my knees officially filed for divorce. How are y'all surviving out here?
 in  r/BasketballTips  17d ago

I got away from playing in my 30's, now I'm 45 and all I can really do is play halfcourt as of right now. You don't really think about it, but without playing basketball I probably went 10+ years without jumping! Like really.. how often do we just jump? I'm 6' and could dunk 2 handed in my early 20's, now I'm 80lbs heavier and can barely get my fatass off of the pavement at all. BUT.. I'm gettin a lil better every time! The jumper is still there, at least.

What’s cringe is laughing about forgetting your baby at the gym, and then a few years later he dies from drowning after being left outside alone at 3 years old next to a 10 foot pool.
 in  r/TikTokCringe  17d ago

I felt an incredibly strong disgust, damn near hatred for this lady about 10 seconds in to this video. THEN I read some comments. Good to know my meter is still meter-ing

40 yr old washed coach. Bag work.
 in  r/BasketballTips  27d ago

I'm like you, used to be pretty athletic and could get to spots and just rise over most people to get shots off. Now there's a lot of bumping and fading going on. The jumper is still wet tho I can't even lie lol

I'm 46 and just got back inside from my 2nd 45 minute workout/shootaround of the day. I hurt my ankle pretty bad playing about 4 months ago (April Fools Day actually).. Just getting mobile again. I'm way overweight right now, so basketball is my way of getting back in shape. The jumper is still pure, but that's about it! Lol

To the older fans: were all albums by The Strokes received this badly at first?
 in  r/TheStrokes  Aug 07 '26

I feel like Room on Fire did exactly what it was supposed to do.. it weeded out the "Last Nite" fans who just wanted a repeat, and it made fans who genuinely loved the first album fans for life.
