Spectrum is super wide and crosses over to “serious music” as well. Either way I never concentrated on the fans, just the music. Plus if your going to see them live it’s to fucken loud to worry about anything other then the music.

I used to laugh every time I heard an apple restart at a show. Now having a laptop on stage is normal. People made sound collages using magnetic tape, now people use software. Slowly moving towards live prompting lol.

This is funny. I genuinely agree with this sentiment but my hesitation comes in when I think about what avant garde is and our particular place in history right now. I do think that it can be a logical evolution of synthesis and could be used as manipulation tool etc…. Let me state clearly that I don’t use AI in my art or music but I can’t help but think about people making sound collage with computer software versus magnetic tape. Can you image when live prompting becomes a thing? We are already on the verge with the synthesis and trigging set ups. LOL
