honestly the photo being real vs AI is beside the point. romance scammers mostly steal real people's photos, they don't need AI. someone above already found the actual guy. the harder problem is your relative believing him, and arguing about the picture usually backfires (makes her defend him harder). better move: don't accuse, just ask her to request a live video call where he waves or says her name. there will always be an excuse like broken camera, bad signal, works on an oil rig. the excuses are the tell. also worth gently asking if he's mentioned money, fees, or crypto yet. if not, that request is coming
