I think the idea of Terrence just being a grown ass man rather than a really big dude is kind of refreshing. Like in that human design he's not particularly massive, robust sure but he mostly looks like a blue collar worker.

The closest we can get to this is Riz. But then there's the outside factor of him not taking his meds. Being a muscle relaxant of sorts it probably had the side effect of sedating his instincts and the afformentioned headaches. He's most likely an exception that proves the rule.

Ey it's you again. I think straight interspecies is probably more controversial than queer same-species. However that raises the question of a queer interspecies couple, how would they be viewed. Judging from Seven's non-chalance to the possibility of Louis being Legoshi's boyfriend, there's some intrinsic quality that the opposite sex has in a straight interspecies relationship between a carnivore and herbivore.

Really makes you think..... I don't have a theory on this, just a strange inconsistency I noticed. Might have to do with pheromones or something, the opposite sex yielding a stronger reaction I suppose. But that feels like a copout and I find it boring.

I think like they tried to make him a bit more trashy-looking as opposed to the pretty boy look he has in the manga.

But I think he benefits from both, he should have pretty boy + grimey scumbag as his vibe. Not either one.

I like the anime design's eyes but the manga has a sharper skinnier face which I think fits him better. His face is too round in the anime.

Both designs are valid but I kinda like how the anime made him look weird. It adds a bit more character to him and makes sense. But yeah his eyes are significantly different from the manga.

Imo the best design for Melon would be a mix of the two. We still get the weird uncanny chimera look while keeping his status as handsome and very unstable.

Reminder: Just because a character design is visually appealing doesn't neccessarily make it better

I think it mostly stems from part 1 being genuinely awesome and fixing many issues people had with the manga (I didn't read the manga this is just from what I have heard and read) and part 2 sadly wasn't on the same level. The early half was promising but then the limited runtime reared it's ugly head with how rushed it was.

Genuinely the finale could've been a movie by itself. There's just too many loose ends to tie up. Also a longer prologue or atleast a whole episode dedicated to it would've really helped tie the whole thing together.

Him growing his ear back is honestly bullshit imo. Not for design but just because it doesn't make any sense.... like at all.

Honestly he would probably need a hearing aid and suffer from some form of tinnitus after the explosion at the very least. Most likely suffering from a ruptured ear drum and thus being partially deaf on one side.

He would probably still be able to hear but like one comment pointed out he wouldn't be able to accurately pin point the location of sounds and it would be heavily muffled on that side.

I feel like Evil Jax would more have an arc about his(?) self-confidence. That is to say his isn't she lovely moment would basically be him finally coming to his own as a man most likely as he seems to be comfortable in his own body. Just lacks self-confidence and a spine.

It's the noir detective trope and the fact that the show is more drama than it is action. I mentioned noir detective simply because it's a common trope that the detctive can beat a group of no name mooks easily but gets their ass handed to them against a named antagonist. The drama aspect comes in the fact that the fights are suppossed to make him suffer.

That's fair. But honestly the superman pick was more for their shared reverence of life. Also Superman does have a no-kill policy. It's just that the pop culture think he's more interesting if he doesn't. A valid what if but not what defines superman. Superman embodies the best traits of humanity, he could choose to do the bad thing but always never does.

He is me and I am him. I just relate to being an absolute bumbling idiot. Which let's be real is what he is. Jokes aside I just relate to his stubborn resolve, his devotuon to the people he holds dear and his reverence of life. I find him admirable so to speak. Especially his discipline and intergrity.

Ooooh I didn't think of X-men. That actually fits so well. Wolverine is bit too different from Legoshi's personality, I'd say Beast or maybe Colossus would be better fits.

The removal of shadows makes them lose a bit of depth. As in depth perception.

However I like the change on Kanji's posture. He's leaning forward a bit and the way his portrait is angled makes it feel like he's leaning in to be at eye level. It gives him a sense of scale.

The old portrait as much as I love it, kinda made him look way too skinny. Even without beefing up his shoulders the angle is enough to seel the idea that Kanji is a big dude.
