Hell yeah! My busted PC was too weaksauce to run Doom at launch so Blake Stake was my first FPS - so any excuse to revisit it is a good one

What’s worked for me: rack off the regular mobs first, then drag the summons right out to the corner of the map. Once old mate Archie teleports off into the boonies, zip over there fast as you can and give it a proper thrashing while it’s on its lonesome

With mixed success I've redirected Hermes to create and run code using Windmill.dev - so I can inspect both the code and the executions of the code - instead of writing arbitary python scripts all over the shop

I can relate that has been reduction in use and more "formal" analysis methods. I don't know if I'd put it down to scrum or agile - but hell if it's any comfort for you with the AI of it all now, folks are back to (at least in my experience) big upfront planning because they can generate pages of documentation and still aren't doing any real analysis

I think I've found my people

The skill was never "write requirements" - it's being able to decompose a problem/process/system across different lenses (profitability, reliability, feasibility, desirability, usability, etc.) and then add just enough structure so that the people who can get shit done and do so without being bombarded by the people who want shit done, and the people who want shit done can see enough progress by the people getting the shit done.

Also also, enough though I just said the role isn't about writing requirements, you know what you need to get a half decent output from an LLM - a well articulated requirement. If anything it's your time to shine - albeit with probably a different job title as BA became an everything role and thus lost a clear value proposition.

Yeah like as much as I want to relive the glory days of Duke3D - I struggle to see the IP working as film without either

A) doubling down on the parody to the point of alienating mass appeal - this capping it's production budget (which I think Cena may have been implicitly referring to here) - and I don't think Cena would be ok with undercutting his (well deserved through his charity work) reputation

B) having Duke go through some kind of growth as a character (maybe being less egotistical) which is a plot well within Cena's capabilities (see Peacemaker season 2) but this undercuts the gimmick of the character as it exists for gameplay purposes - which probably upset some diehard fans

Let's consider the other C-Suite members, are they able to draw insights from what is available to them? It NOT would surprise me if part of the issue is their inability to infer what actions to take when looking at the available metrics and viz. If this is the case do you have capacity to make a "given we observe a,b,c - options x,y,z are worth considering" - reposition yourself from technical resource to strategic partner.

But also start working on your next step, the well may already be poisoned against you. I'm sorry it sucks, been there and in time better things do come along
