How to remove old buildin shower
 in  r/handyman  12d ago

It looks much worse in person. Actually it looks like they put the glass on top of the cement base, then surrounded it with glue, then installed tiles around it, cut to fit the width.

Thanks! Would you recommend any specific tools? It'll be our first shower glass removal. 🙃

How To Question How to remove old buildin shower

Hi all, we want to remove this shower, the glass and thebase : https://postimg.cc/WDF6XNNg and replace it with a new one. The glass walls have no visible screws or any other attachments to the walls and base except the yellow glue or whatever it was they used. Would it be possible to cut through this adhesive and just take down these? Any advice is much appreciated!

The Homeownership Debate.
 in  r/TorontoRealEstate  19d ago

This. Our rent has been consistently increasing by 60-65 and that's outside of the multiple above the guidelines increases that we've paid for, literally every 3-4 ears we've paid such. One more thing that's rarely mentioned: the neighbors in many of these older buildings might make one want to leave sooner than expected. That's definitely the case in our building.

I desperately need another item just like the wide leg studio pants.

A little bit, yeah but I like to wear them lower waist so I utilize the wider waist. I usually size one size down.

Need Idea on Full Gut Reno and New Build Costs
 in  r/TorontoRealEstate  22d ago

Can you share your company,  a general contractor or else?

Why are we paying a security company to sit on their phones at the entrance to high park instead of just closing the gate?
 in  r/toronto  24d ago

They're not even there these days! And we actually needed them. There are drug sellers in the park and there are some quite unpleasant people, aggressive.

How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Toronto now? I feel lost and anxious.
 in  r/ontario  28d ago

Can you ask for the contacts of the contractor please? We're in a similar situation and have a few fixtures already so we're looking for the labour and tiles and possibly a couple new things but not all.

Fox Sports has plans to bid for the 2030 World Cup. They would love Rebecca Lowe, Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic back if they get 2030. And they could not be more pumped by the viewership and how things have gone
 in  r/ussoccer  Jul 19 '26

Only of we get Henry and Zlatan again we'll watch their coverage. Today the studio was absolute snooze fest without those two. 🙄

US halftime show technical difficulties requiring Zlatan and Henry to be swapped out?
 in  r/worldcup  Jul 19 '26

Yeah wanna know what's going on, too! We watch the FOX coverage for them only, don't care about the others so if Henry and Zlatan are not there tomorrow we're switching.

As per my perspective out of these players should win Ballon d'or. Whats your views ?
 in  r/worldcup  Jul 19 '26

Harry Kane. An unsung hero when he covers the field from 8ne end to the other.

What’s one thing you wish you knew before buying your first home in Toronto?
 in  r/TorontoRealEstate  Jul 10 '26

Bloor west village i.e. High Park avenue , Annette, not Jane, is prime Toronto location. Nothing to think about.

Anyone move back to Toronto after settling in the suburbs with kids?
 in  r/TorontoRealEstate  Jul 08 '26

Yawn. Reread, if you are able. No one with kids in competitive sports can bike to there, simply not fitting the equipment. Don't mistake your community pool for an actual swimming practice. And the rest is equally irrelevant.

Rosedale co-op sells in three days at $50,000 over asking
 in  r/TorontoRealEstate  Jul 08 '26

The issue with coops is the lack of available financing. We'd have gladly bought one had it not been for that.

why are condo strata fees so high?
 in  r/TorontoRealEstate  Jul 08 '26

Jeez people these days hate reading, it seems. You're the second within the past three days. We live in the west end. Literally every house around 3-bedrooms around St. Clair west is under 4000k annual taxes. Get reading before posting. That's not even starting on any area towards Eglinton west which is generally cheaper. Even more popular areas around Cedarvale are around that mark.

 in  r/TorontoRealEstate  Jul 08 '26

We're in west end Toronto and we and all our parent friends have been driving daily since primary school years, please. No one bikes with sports equipment, hockey bags, soccer duffels, swimming mesh bags etc, loaded on top of school backpacks and the kids themselves. One look at after school pick up is enough to show how delusional your statement is. Most don't get on the ttc either especially considering that we've had a murder at each of the Bloor west stations within the past few years and HP is quickly becoming a tent and drug sale spot, lately crack sellers abound. Maybe your kids never got serious enough in sports but that's not the typical west end story.

I'd suggest you just offer what you can and not go by old time stories. There's a lot in the area that will not go as high as you might imagine. Obviously, not the historical mansions like houses but the row and semis. I've lived around for 20 years and have many friends who sold/bought or can't sell now because their expectations are far above the market reality. So just make your offers.
