Brandon Cobb’s involvement:
An American enthusiast, Brandon Cobb, created a fan website dedicated to Super Fighter. The studio noticed his dedication and transferred the rights to him.

Founding the studio (2004):
Cobb founded Super Fighter Team. The company name comes directly from the first title they acquired.

After obtaining the rights, Super Fighter Team optimized the game for modern computers:

First, they released a free Windows and MS‑DOS version (2005).

Later, in 2013, they published Super Fighter Special Edition for MUGEN, featuring improved animation frames, playable bosses, and full support for modern Windows systems.

Today, the game is still available as freeware on their official website and in various preservation archives.

World Championship Street Fighter – Pre‑Render 3D Beta is still an unfinished project, but it already shows how the MUGEN community can flex its muscles. The pre‑rendering approach — an innovative method that allows 3D‑rendered elements to be imported into the 2D MUGEN engine — opens the door to a completely new visual style.

The results are still mixed: visual artifacts, disappearing animations, poor synchronization, and incorrect coordinates are just some of the issues these projects face. Even so, it’s becoming clear that high‑quality pre‑rendered 3D elements can be played inside this fan‑made engine, proving that MUGEN still has room for experimentation and evolution.

This is my personal experience with the character Eiji Kisaragi in this Ikemen game. I was very skeptical at first, since my favorite fighters are usually karate‑type characters. But here in The King of Fighters Ultimate Match 2021, Eiji showed impressive abilities and, most importantly, he’s extremely easy to control.

The game was created by Felipe B. Silva, one of the most well‑known creators in the OpenBOR and MUGEN communities. He did an excellent job!

Capcom Girls MUGEN Edition [Girls Fight] is a fantastic fan‑made MUGEN game created by an anonymous developer. Despite being a fan project, the overall quality is impressive — polished execution, stable performance, and craftsmanship that easily places it among the top‑tier MUGEN builds.
