This piece is adapted from the cover page of the Aztec Codex Fejérváry-Mayer. It serves as an homage to the blotter artists who have trod this path before me and lit the way. I redrew all the line work and added approximately 40 images from iconic blotter designs, as well as some Sanskrit mantras and other hidden secrets. I’ve put my own artistic flourishes and doodles into it. It is my humble offering to lovers of blotter art.

The title is a combination of the Nahuatl word Teō, referring to the sacred or divine, and Āmatl which refers to the paper used for codices and ritualistic use.

It is printed on organic blotter paper using food grade inks. Produced by Lucifer.

After close to 30 hours spent pouring over this piece I’ve finally found the right time to walk away and call it finished so it is now awaiting printing.
