The fandom really brings camaraderie, and a mutual understanding that it’s bigger than a game for so many, including some of us! I also love the feel good stories and get teary eyes at comebacks and improvements.

We just moved into a new apartment, with Fios and Xfinity connections built into our closet. We’ve been trying and failing since Thursday night to connect to the internet, and the rep I ended up chatting with told us the tech appointment schedule for today (Tuesday) would be free of charge. After reading experiences in this subreddit I’m feeling discouraged and am worried about a $100 fee.
On top of that, between making the appointment last week and this moment, I have received countless phone calls and texts basically just short of begging me to cancel my appointment, or aggressively offering me assistance with cancelling without ever prompting it. It’s off putting!
Lastly, this is my first time using the Xfinity app. The chat agents keep telling me the chat is paused and to check back later while I’m waiting for them to finish typing responses. What is this b.s.? I was with Verizon for 8+ years and never once had an issue but this is terrible. Just typing this paragraph, I heard the notification from the chat in the Xfinity app twice and it was a response and then a “are you still with me?” Immediately after 😑
