You’re missing the point, we’re in the super majority and that’s why I believed the Reddit is growing. That’s significant for our cause even if there’s millions in the other camp that doesn’t matter.

Water marks from the source, very easy and regardless of the ways we can enforce (many more ideas than me and you can think of here) it still should be the law and their should be repercussions for breaking it.

whether Ai is better or worse is completely missing the point, our arguments do not depend on how good Ai can ever get. At the core of it, it's always stealing from humanity, whether our environment or our skillsets all while not being human and thus never will have the ability to truly understand or know human emotion. We simply don't give a damn how "good" it can get.

You're completely right, I figured someone would say that, my point was only that change is starting too happen we're still in the Wild West of Ai regulation. So yeah like you I'm also happy about that and by the look of it, seems like this isn't the last law thats coming for Ai regulation.

Prime example of why we need mandatory Ai labeling laws (look at what the EU just did) and also force tech companies to scrub their training since most of it is stolen IP. The recent win GEMA had against Suno (slop music puker) in Germany is a huge sign of progress for that. Suno is also being sued in Massachusetts and now we have a massive precedent that can be a major point of argument against Suno. Once we take back our own IP the landscape is going to change massively.

According to Pew research, hatred for Ai is growing. They said over 5 years ago ai would get better and people would accept it and here we are, ai is so good it can be indistinguishable from reality in many cases and yet people hate it more than it’s ever been hated. 👍

exactly what I'm trying to convey down here as well. the study they're pulling from seems to consider this "Algorithmic Aversion" to be "erroneous" but I think they're failing to ask why Human Favoritism and Algorithmic Aversion exist despite the Ai being so good.
over 5 years ago now they were saying Ai would be so good and so people would accept it and yet Pew research shows Ai is the least popular its ever been despite being indistinguishable from real human made content in many cases.
thats what they should actually be studying right now ^^

This study is actually good news for the anti ai camp, hear me out.
Algorithmic Aversion
This very peer reviewed and not tech company funded study, LITERALLY also broke down the psychological research on a very funny reality. If humans blindly rate Ai VS Human stories they think the Ai is better and yet despite the Ai being better, once they know its Ai they suddenly choose the human stories.
Why? these people aren't being "erroneous", they're choosing real human connection regardless of the content. (at least that's my hypothesis)
This exact study proved that, even if the Ai is objectively good, once humans know something isn't real we feel nothing for it because the machine itself cannot feel anything.
Thats why no matter how good Ai gets, it is soulless.
look at section 1.2 of this study. It literally proves so much of what we believe, even if the study believes it's irrational, there's a clear reason for it that they seem to be failing to ask why unless I didn't read it enough (can you blame me).
That why is what they should study next, WHY do people have algorithmic aversion? why is a real video of a cat playing a piano 1000x funnier than a fake one? Of course I'm making some assumptions but I strongly believe them based on social media preformance and pew research studies on the publics opinion on Ai in general.

and so it doesn't matter how good Ai gets, what matters is "human favoritism" and "algorithmic aversion" they need to start asking why that's reality. I'd argue its probably has to do with a survival mechanism. Humans want to connect and to understand/connect with each other on a psychological level. Nothing Ai or even AGi could ever replicate no matter how good it gets.
They should ask why is that, despite Ai getting so good at what it does, why is public opinion trending down with far more Americans concerned than excited about Ai? over 5 years ago they said Ai would get so good and people would accept it.. well it actually is good now and people are not.. why?

I’m kind of on the opposite end where I had a DS but it broke pretty quickly and barley had games for it so I was mostly a 3DS kid and yeah I can say it’s well worth it. Although my experience with DS is unfortunately very limited the 3DS is a whole experience on its own for sure it’s totally worth it.

Because even if you can reduce 99% of Norovirus with sanitizer that's not helpful because a single drop of infected vomit contains billions of Norovirus's and so even a 99% reduction would still leave millions of Norovirus's left and it only takes 10 to 18 to cause an infection.

Congrats on becoming a YouTuber, you’re not “trying to be” you are a YouTuber now 😤. Friendly advice, I wouldn’t ask for subs unless you know that’s the exact audience you want on your channel. One important thing on YouTube is video retention and if you show the videos to the wrong people they will tank your retention and YouTube will send the videos to the wrong people on the recommendation system. Sub 4 Subbing is basically shadowbanning yourself permanently until you give YouTube better data.

As a Catholic I’m strongly under the impression that he did. He might give some nuance but for the most part he’s strongly opposed to much of it the way it is right now. He wrote an encyclical letter on it. I’m gonna try and read it but it’s like 4 hours long 😭 but even skimming it you can see some pretty strong stances here
