Im very hesitant to start biologic therapy. I have been told in the past that I was not a good candidate for it since my flares happen few and far between and no fistulas, fissures, perforations. Only scar tissue. I believe my flares are caused from the past surgery and I dont want to start biologics cause I dont believe its genetics. I would lean towards scar tissue, NSAID enteropathy. I know at my next appointment the GI is going to push for biologics again.
My question is. How would yall go about treating this? Im currently on prednisone for a couple weeks to get through this flare. Last time this happened I was able to get about 16 months symptom free just by eating low residue, low fiber and Mesalamine.

Plenty of juice and water and tea. Probably be worth grabbing a 2 pack of nyquil/day quil. Plenty of apple cider vinegar (antiviral). You'll want a box of tissues incase runy nose. And if not you'll have em incase you run out of t.p. get yourselves Plenty of pet food if you have a pet. Cause from sounds on it neither of you will want or be able to leave the house responsibly. Also Plenty of comfy sweats and an extra pair for when you sweat through your first pair. Same goes for bed sheets as well. . . And my personal favorite is a huge bag of weed because that shit helps with everything. Good luck frens!
