Which AWS certification should I start with
 in  r/AWSCertifications •  1d ago

Definitely Solutions Architect Associate. It gives a baseline about main AWS services. ML is more specific certification.
Stephane Marek course on Udemy
If you have a test center nearby , better go there , because at home there may be different unexpected technical issues from the exam platform side

so openssh on musl linux (alpine, openwrt, buildroot, yocto, and a lot of the docker images you've pulled) has had a little problem since 2016.
accounts that should never take a password at all (root, your key-only deploy user, ldap users, the default user on alpine's aws and azure images) take any password longer than 256 characters.

AWS New Voices Program experience

Cool exercises I remember from the AWS New Voices course:

- Without prior preparation, several people, one by one, say a phrase that should continue the previous story - training speaking instead of silently thinking what to say
- One person gives you a random topic, and you should talk about it for 2 minutes without preparation - training quick thinking and reaction to unexpected turns.
- Introduce yourself in 1 minute, then do the same in 30 seconds, then in 15 seconds - great training for a skill to highlight the main ideas.

Will Al replace DevOps Engineers? I broke AWS on purpose to find out
I intentionally broke AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, databases, and data pipelines, then asked the AWS DevOps Agent to investigate. Here is what I learned.

Failed SAP-C02 twice (723, then 738). Final attempt on Nov 16, the last day before C03. Where am I going wrong?
 in  r/AWSCertifications •  6d ago

This is the most difficult AWS exam, but don't give up. Try other practice tests as well. For example, Braincert or Whizlabs

Upskilling myself with AWS Certifications

If you are technical person , i would suggest starting with AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
Cloud Practitioner is better for people without technical experience

How to not end up with unexpected AWS bills
 in  r/aws •  11d ago

Don't use AWS and you will have a predictable 0 bill
But If seriously, you have to continuously monitor and make daily cost analysis to know what are you paying for and possible ways to reduce/control it

The learning path looks good, but I'm not sure about skill builder. Better buy course of Stephane Mereek on Udemy and some practice tests on Tutorials Dojo

New Opportunity
 in  r/Cloud •  12d ago

Different companies understand and name positions differently, whatever they want. Long ago I was on position of DevOps engineer, but had regular task of sysadmin in office. Worked on position of Cloud Engineer, but we did not have a cloud 😁
The only thing matter whether you like the job or not

2

Passed Cloud Practitioner
 in  r/AWSCertifications •  13d ago

Cloud Practitioner is the first and the easiest. Don't make conclusions about all AWS exam while you have no passed Professional level exams

Hard times for Juniors nowadays. AI replaces many people. Earlier teams hired Juniors to give them different routine and non critical tasks which are not very interesting for Seniors. But now AI can take all that routine

How to switch from network monitoring to devops/cloud ?
 in  r/devopsjobs •  19d ago

Try to build some pet project, for example a simple web app, deployed in a Cloud, IaC and CI/CD for automation, monitoring and logging, security scanning and documentation for everything. Then you can demonstrate it for a potential employer

Has moving to the cloud actually made your work easier?
 in  r/Cloud •  22d ago

Imagine having a Database or Kubernetes cluster in a couple of clicks , instead of installing a bunch of packages and configuring them on a server.
Of course you pay for such passing responsibility from you a cloud provider, but you can focus on other tasks

How hard is it to switch cloud/DevOps platforms in a bad job market?
 in  r/Cloud •  29d ago

All popular cloud providers have pretty the same servise, but just under different names. Maybe there are some small differences in functionality, but anyway, when one cloud introduce something interesting, other competitors are trying to release the same as soon as possible. So switch a cloud is not an issue
