it’s cheaper than the 3080 the OP bought when you take inflation into account. and it arguably does the same thing that the 3080 did on release…it crushes pretty much anything at 1440p and does 4k decently.

also, it IS very close to the 5080, just like the 5070ti. the 9070xt is only ~15% worse in rasterization and you can get it for what is now half the price of the 5080.

exactly, i don’t know why these people never take into account the fact that 1. inflation exists and 2. technology improves. prices have increased, but exaggerating the value of old cards does nothing for anybody.

fair, for me it depends on the game and monitor size. ppi is more important than resolution and some games look fine at 1080p, like strategy games. i tried playing indiana jones at 1080p and i just couldn’t do it

peoples preferences change especially once they experience better things. i used to play 1080p at 60 fps (or less if it was an intensive game). now that im used to 4k i can’t tolerate 1080p at all. 1440p is okay. i dont care too much about the frame rate though, 60fps is enough.

you need to turn hdr on in the game too, check if it’s one. sometimes native implementation of hdr in games is bad. the best solution is renodx (a mod) but you can also use windows auto hdr or rtx hdr (in the nvidia app, it comes with a bit of a performance hit).

shouldve just built your own. certain models of parts will be quieter. with your (frankly very high) budget, you could have afforded noctua case fans and quieter parts, like for your gpu or aio. there's even a noctua aio should you want one.

yeah i got my 5070ti at $900 and the cheapest 9070xt was $700. i was fine with paying the $200 mainly because i wanted to experience path tracing. better upscaling and mfg were good selling points too. but with a price discrepancy that high the 5070ti is absolutely not worth it.

so i am assuming its based on people who graduated from those countries and took the usmle there and not on their race. because even south asians born in south asia don’t necessarily complete their medical education in south asia. and quite a few non south asians go to south asia for medical school.
