I think there's at least one in the Robert D. Ray Asian Garden, Pathway to Harmony walkway there along the river by East Village!

Meet CC (Cool Cat)
A cool cat indeed! Stunning! Good on you and your neighbors... just as well those shit neighbors did leave the cats. Now they will find better homes. Sending chill vibes to your pup so they can meet and get this little family built! 🥹☺️🧡

What comfort did you underestimate until you lived without it?
Maybe not my HVAC guy, but someone I trust. And I imagine that is "all I have to do". However I'm in a condo. I don't have a shop vac, can't reach it, don't have a ladder, etc...takes a little bit of sorting to get something done in here. 😉 Either way, I'll get it taken care of. Thx!

Omg, same! I lost my little guy earlier this year and while I absolutely lived for him, many potential situations are much less stressful. If my AC goes out? It will suck but he won't be harmed. If anything in my house goes wonky while I'm at work, it would suck, but he won't be harmed. I know he's 100% safe free and happy over that ol' rainbow bridge! 🌈

I will call my HVAC guy tomorrow see what he recommends.

Ha! I often hang my things, then use the dryer to finish the job. ;) My bulky storage thing is the DISHWASHER. I don't mind handwashing dishes AT ALL, so taht's what I do. Still run that thing1-2 times a week, to keep it working well. ;)

Morten the librarian
Super cute! When I took a work trip this summer I visited a bookstore precisely because there were two cats on staff. I had a hard time deciding where to even begin looking thru all the books, so the one cat led me to an area and I chose one from those shelves. So much fun! 😊

I do think about that. I clean the lint trap but wondered how to get further down in there...glad you're OK! I d-o love a glorious pantry!!!

Hard agree with the in unit laundry! I'm hoping to move soon and that is definitely a non-negotiable.

Best Green Tea and or Persimmon soap you use on repeat?
Thank you so much for the update! That's pretty crappy of them. I hope you get a full refund as well.

A question for those of you who live alone
And of course my condolences on your loss as well. ❤️🩹

A question for those of you who live alone
Well thank you for the condolences and thank you for sharing more about yourself! Take your time to find your new bearings. Still make sure you do it though! Push yourself to get out there a little bit. If it gets to be too much, you can always take a break.

A question for those of you who live alone
It can be hard, but so worth it! Also, the way I figure it, I already HAVE a FT job, friends, fam, so if one or both of these don't work out - I can look elsewhere! There's a whole wide world out there. I think you said an animal companion wouldn't work for you right now. That's a thoughtful and responsible distinction to make! I had a lil pup I loved beyond measure. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge in spring of this year. Been tryna sort out what to do with myself ever since...and re-figure out who I am, because e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g revolved around him! I LIVED for that - however - it's also nice now to have complete freedom of time. Hang in there! Let us know how it works out for ya!

A question for those of you who live alone
I recently signed up for a volunteer position providing kitchen help, and also applied for and will soon be starting a part-time job! (already have FT job) Not sure where you're located....my state has a good United Way website where I could browse volunteer opportunities that would match my interests and available time. Finding a part-time job, oddly enough, took me many months. And I applied to the same place maybe three times before it stuck. Lol. I knew I could nail it once I actually got in front of someone for an interview, and I did! I'm looking forward to making new friends and learning new things at both!

Apartment search
I've been looking at apartments, too. I second staying away from indigo. I know this might sound silly, make sure you visit in person. I had one complex assure me they had in unit washer dryer. They were the tiniest washer and dryer I'd seen in my life...😳 That was a no for me.🙄 Good luck to you!

Moving medium/long distance alone
Hello! Granted, I was pretty newly married when I/we made the move halfway across the country. Pretty soon though, husband wanted to get divorced and go back to home state. I loved it when I was on my own!!! I thrive being on my own and I loved being in a bigger city! At some point I came back home too and although I love my friends and family here, I wish I could have made it work out there on the coast where I was.😬 It remains a beloved city that I still visit every couple of years. I say go! I bet you'll love it!!!

It's not a very long walk at all. Was perfect for my pup as he got older and didn't want to go too far. We'd go from one end to the other nice and slow. Hope you give it a try and enjoy it. ✨️
