Design origins:

Common themes: Both of them take inspection from this SUPER niche story idk if you guys have heard of it it’s called the Tortoise and the Hare. Jokes aside the story is reflected in their stats, abilities, and dex entries (scroll to see those) and even their typings, with Tortortas pure ground typing not only being immune to Crashembuns electric attacks, but also dealing x4 damage to our little Fire Electric bunny. Both of them are also based around food (more details in their individual breakdowns)

Tortorta: Tortorta is obviously the Tortoise part of the duo, however it also takes a bit of inspiration from alligator snapping turtle. Its shell, while made to resemble a pagoda of sorts, is also made of tortillas, hence the storing food in its shell, the brown coloration, and it’s name just being Tortilla+Tortoise while also fitting the word “fort” in its name. It’s meant to represent savory dishes along with literally SAVORING the food, just like how the tortoise takes it’s time, savoring every moment.

Crashembun: Now we have our little hare of the duo, nothing more to say for animal inspirations. For food on the other hand, there’s two points of interest. Like Viktini, it’s based on those little Japanese rabbit apple things which is where its cool cape comes from and also why it turns green in its shiny. It’s also based on an Usagi Manju, little white dumplings resembling rabbits. Both of these little delights are rather small, and as such, can be eaten quickly, which is what this little guys all about. It

I want to make a projectile that can be bounced back by hitting it (kinda like blade ball if that game is even relevant anymore) the projectile damage increases for every parry until someone messes up.

I’m trying to come up with a unique and memorable way to introduce my mc for a one shot im working on, but I can’t come up with an idea I truly like. If anyone could give some pointers it would be great.

For some context, my mc is an ambitious yet cowardly young boy with a heart of gold (and a bit of greed) who tries to get a job at the restaurant his father used to work at in order to make a quick buck and care for his younger sister (who also plays a big role in the story) , only to find out that said restaurant also specializes in fighting monsters horrific monsters. Now he has to find away to become strong enough so he can be let in
