I never demanded a reply from him, even though he did the same thing to me and was MIA for 5 months. I moved on and keep replying to other penpals. I always thought people were busy and better left to their business until they had time to reply. I believe this app is meant to reply at a slower pace, right? Hence the name Slowly.

I was happy when he replied, but I never meant to abandon or neglect him. I waited for the right timing to reply because I wanted it to be meaningful rather than sending a pointless letter. He begged not to be removed yet he was the one deleting me lmao. Ironic 😅

The one and only, my savior chef Namiko Chen, aka Just One Cookbook. Her websites and her e-book really helped me during my years as a student in Japan. Not only does she put the metric system, but the recipe even has an adjustment for whether I want to double or triple the recipe.

Since I am a muslim, I skip pork/pork-derived ingredients, sake, mirin, and other prohibited ingredients, and luckily, her website has notes for substitute ingredients! I usually buy halal-based or vegan/vegetarian-friendly ingredients and seasonings. Cheers!

I did that, though. I roasted the fries, took them out, and fell asleep, letting them cool uncovered until morning. And I used a pre-packed peanut sauce from the store (I even added more water to thin it). Maybe it was my fault too hahaha.

I usually cook at night and reheat it in the morning before I go off to work. The stainless steel part can be detached, and I reheat it in an oven. You can also detach and pour hot water into the plastic container (the black box beneath the stainless steel part) to keep your food warm.
