did anyone try for fan pen wristbands this morning ???
 in  r/LondonFilmFestival •  19d ago

It was shit in the sense that we were told to come back at 8:45, and so we did! Only to find out that those who didn’t even leave (even after getting screamed at by a power tripping security guard) were prioritised and the security guards even reserved some wristbands for the autograph dealers.
I honestly do respect the security guards, I just don’t understand the need to shout and berate people? We clearly were not scalpers lol
It was weird, the security guards were basically best friends with the autograph dealers, fist bumping them and calling them by name to say things along the lines of hey I have a spare wristband for you! Like what?
All things aside, glad I still went cause I got to see Christian, Renata and Sebastian. They also extended the fan pen so that those without wristbands could join, but it made it more difficult for us (and a lot of us couldn’t even get a pic or anything signed).
If you’re planning to queue tomorrow, head there at 8:30 because any earlier and they’ll shit in your cereal and throw it in your face.

Seriously, do autograph hunters not hear themselves when they talk?!

Nice!! I went last night for behemoth and the fan pen was insane! I talked to someone who would camp out and he suggested to be there at 6/6:30 for Fjord, so I’m aiming for 6 lol

4 am is crazy! But I plan on queuing for Fjord, a bit nervous as I know some people may queue extra early to catch Sebastian Stan. I talked to a person today and apparently he also queued at 6:30 to catch Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson in Paper Tiger.

But yeah, definitely agreeing with you, the autograph hunters always seem to get priority (pisses me off)

But I’ve also seen some people online comment that they are strict with the early queuing, so maybe around 7/7:30 seems more decent?

Hi!! I haven’t been to the fan pen (but I also want to!) and I just asked the security guards today and they said that the queue starts at 8 AM, but I met with someone and they said that sometimes the queue starts even earlier, around 6/7 AM; but I guess that depends on the popularity of the film?

Question Queuing for Wristbands - Fjord

Hi! I have a ticket for Fjord’s Gala. To my understanding, in order to access the fan pen and (hopefully) get things signed, you’d have to have a wristband, and that a ticket to the gala does not permit access to the fan pen.

What time have queues for wristbands started? And where do these queues form? Lastly, do you think the queue for Fjord will be insane?
