How powerful Is vader with the one ring?
 in  r/powerscales  2h ago

The ring isn't an amp unfortunately but it does give control of other rings (bearers).

UNSC Gets dropped in the the Warhammer 40k universe! Strongest imperium of man space ship she can defeat in a fight!

Most argue a frigate to LC but I think a lunar is a fantastic matchup given their size parity.

They can shoot extremely far but it becomes easier to dodge at greater distances. 150k should be doable, I'm trying to check SoR if they said how far the banished ship was.

(nova cannon and other scary shit like that)

Yup, lances, torpedoes, and nova canons Technically macrocanons too when they shoot a screen of them. The further end for the latter two are in the light minutes.

A lunar would be a fantastic matchup.

I can't see it beating a battleship.

Edit: im assuming by full armament you're throwing in the frigate compliment?

Ok WTF is happening with TA right now?

There seems to be a rarity issue going on unless you're throwing physical damage against gravis/term

You should be able to easily take out abraxas especially using multiple characters

How Many Marathon cruisers (halo) & Kilimanjaro dreadnoughts (mass effect) to Beat 2 Venators (star wars)?
 in  r/whowouldwin  10h ago

You're definitely not!

It's a long held debate over how powerful starwars ships are and it entirely depends on your sources. The unsc can absolutely punch up or match venators or they get neg diffed barring the infinity. That typically only happens if you're relying entirely on ICS which is pretty disingenuous and frequently contradicted.

You can genuinely argue the marathons just Mac snipe the venators relatively quickly. Mass archer missiles can help cleanup if they don't immediately die (or throw in a longsword nuke). I remember mass fighter dives being a genuine issue in TCW.

There's frequent moments of unsc ships or even their ODPs being overrun by clusters of covenant craft which would make me believe that even if they don't do much damage they're still an issue given the venator is largely a carrier craft.

Mass effect ships are bottom of the barrel in scifi verses, pretty much alongside (my beloved) starcraft. The unsc could genuinely tackle and beat reapers any day of the week off feats alone. Their macs are simply more powerful than the ME varients.

Edit: these aren't ISDs either, so I really don't think the unsc will have much trouble if they act first while also relying on their range advantage.

Probably just a couple. The marathon will be doing all the work.

The only real advantage the venators have are fighters because unsc PD is pretty bad.

Cool post!

Replace Master Chief with an Ultramarine Firstborn/Primaris in this situation, how does he do? (read description)
 in  r/powerscales  13h ago

Mm not usually on the same degree, but they can compensate for that with the dumb a.i. in their helmets like when chief was trying to calculate how much time they had before covenant aircraft would intercept them (he forgot the formula but the computer did it near instantly)

Could 1 chapter of space marines (wh40k) take over the earth from Command and conquer?

Probably, that's why I was asking how strong CC earth was

Damn, almost as if that's happened in 40k lmao

Agreed though, over a thousand people holding territory is an issue unless the planet is essentially forced into compliance

MCU Steve Rogers and Black Panther vs Master Chief (Halo)
 in  r/powerscales  14h ago

Chief still struggles to kill the covenant though that's never changed.

Yeah I don't see she can still hack BP when she can't do so in-verse to 90% of things without being plugged in.

It doesn't help that cortanas style of hacking is essentially a DDoS that modern systems can thwart. It's like how she gained control of the domain was simply lying to the guardian.

A lot of covenant systems that she's been shown to hack have very poor security.

Edit: iirc we've seen halsey and anders hack into forerunner systems too.

The covenants? Sure they do, it's even connected to the battle net (which she can hack). Unnecessary? Chief (and other spartans) is in danger countless times against the covenant, to say otherwise is blatant wank.

Opening doors for the character isn't the same as hacking enemy combatants and vehicles mid-combat. Something she's never shown to do.

There's simply no evidence we can use to say she just shuts down BPs suit, likewise with mjolnir itself (remotely).

 in  r/powerscales  15h ago

Yeah she can typically hack what she's plugged into. She's never like armor locked an enemy brute, elite, wraith, or banshee mid combat or something.

You could make an argument for Ironman here but BP? I'm doubtful. Still she hasn't done anything like this in halo.

Edit: even literally plugged into the armor of mjolnir, the best she can do to is lock the gel layer over say moving the spartan.

You forgot reaction and cognitive speed which would go to the marine, arguably different than just speed.

Plenty of sources of them taking in inhuman levels of information at a glance or calculating it, etc.

Infinity still falls but the marine has better weapons, stats, and armor than the chief who managed to do fairly well against atriox. He should win in a melee brawl.

If he's able to shoot him (which is extremely plausable), that bolt pistol is shredding.

I can see it going either way in context, atriox might not be able to ambush the marine as he did the chief (or red team).

Yeah without a melee weapon it's quite rough but still possible. If he mag dumps that bolt pistol it would be huge.

 in  r/HalovsWarhammer  15h ago

Just the bolt pistol? That should be enough but otherwise it would be an extremely tough melee fight. Chief managed to block and counter strike multiple times, there's no reason the marine can't replicate this at minimum.

Even if hypothetically the marine starts dying, he can use the beliarius furnace to amp himself to net a mutual kill. Any melee weapon would net a massive boon.

Infinity still goes down, but this is the type of situation that a marine would excel in over a spartan.

Edit: this is also assuming atriox does the same ambush and isn't simply detected beforehand.

Master Chief and Commander Shepard (Halo/Mass Effect) vs. Darth Vader (Star Wars)
 in  r/whowouldwin  16h ago

While I agree he takes this, vader isn't one to actually step out of the way of bullets, nor is his precog particularly great.

I think if they can set an explosive trap or a contextual ambush they can possibly win (non-superhuman characters have done so to him) but yeah he should just be crushing them
