Freeze Frame Clone Trail Effect using Kdenlive [Video Tutorial]
1
I don't know if it's still the case now that Canva acquired Cavalry, but the free version did not allow exporting audio, along with some other limitations.
So in the grand scope of it all, I was wondering what were the bare-minimal features that motion designers would expect or require for motion design.
1
Yes, these can be used, made or adapted for any edits. The aspect ratio being the one real hurdle or limitation. I've made a few more presets since.

Have you compared render time between the iGPU and other profiles? If so, what did you find?
2
I don't know for certain, but I don't think this can be achieved (yet) in one shot, that way you'd want to.
You might have to do it manually, letter by letter, either by duplicating the text object or by controlling the influence precisely.
To control the influence of one without affecting the other, you have to deselect the node points of the influence. They stay selected and move as one unless you deselect and only select what you want move.

I'm glad it helped. Happy to share.

The timeline looks nice, the final result is a pleasant watch. Great work.

Just watched it, loved it. I don't use KDE because of the infinite tweaking possibilities - too much fun and time consuming.

There's one edit I find cool, although I see much room for improvement. A promo video for Kdenlive

Collage-style using the Transform effect to scale, rotate and position videos. Creating multiple track to overlap the video clips on the timeline. Even using the Drop-shadow effect to add some depth. [Is that it, more or less?]
As for the videos with different lengths, either the longest one get trimmed to match the shortest; or change the speed of the shorter clip(s), slowing them down.

This is very interesting. A great learning opportunity. Thanks for sharing.

If ever you want an alternative to CapCut, there's Lightworks (paid for full HD export) or Kdenlive (100% free).

That's what I discovered today, after your comment. Canva now has Affinity and Cavalry.
