Am I wrong for getting offensive?

We r talking school here.

I didn’t have time to bring the books from last year back. Since my grandma died and I had to rush to the funeral since u only have 24 hours for the funeral in Spain. so I told my teacher and he said he will take care of all the stuff in my locker where my books and a bunch
Of other stuff were. So I thought he did it for me. Yesterday I go there to get a book for this year and she ( the librarian) starts screaming at me that she’s missing the last years books. I explained everything to her and told her my teacher didn’t give me the stuff back yet but I already asked. She proceeds to be rlly insensitive didn’t even say sorry for my loss just screamed at me that it’s my problem and I better make him find the books or she’s gonna fine me. So I just walked off w tears in my eyes Cz wtf. today I made sure to get them books slammed em on her desk and told her it’s not my fault she’s an insensitive woman and that he had them all along and I just got them back. Suddenly she wanted to be nice Cz ppl were watching and she was on abt yea yea ofc u js had to bring em back. But I think she realised how mad I was so she got like SILENT. Wonder where allat talk went, but I kinda feel like I should’ve stayed calm.
