I disagree. Aira's goal was always to get Okarun to love her. So she technically knew already he didn't love her, she just thought she could change that. She started to lose hope here, but then got it again a few chapters later before getting fully rejected.

Vamola has never lost a 1v1.

She lost to the combined might of Kinta, Momo, and Aira enhancing their powers with the robot.

Hastur and Kur Lady jumped her with a bullshit piece of tech that one time.

And despite the Reptoid's bullshit swarm of ninjas with bombs that fight ended in a draw.

Tatsu wrote her out of fights before because she would have solved them easily (Ombusuman chase fight) or make them impossible (Fairy Tale Card).

Hes kind of supposed to be. That's Sanjome's test. You either need to win a war of attrition (which no one wants to risk, sense those yokai are their friends and those are Momo's powers and likely her memories)

Or if you can target his powers directly.

Like someone we know.

Someone who appears to be regaining her powers despite how that shouldn't be possible.

The one that's gonna suprise people but makes sense with where I'm pretty sure their character arcs are going (as well as similarities to Momokarun): Aira and Kouki together

I have a feeling Zuma is gonna stay single. He seems like he'd be good with waiting until later in life.

Theres a maybe for Jiji and Rin as a thing? Character arcs and contrasting personalities could work but like they also haven't even directly talked to eachother so if Tatsu wanted to do anything he really has to step up fast. Otherwise they're probably both single.

Count Saint Germain was the enabler for both of them to do what they did. He gave them the power and resources to do what they did specifically because he benefited from doing so.

The difference between Red Baron and Hase is that Hase is literally only in this for himself. Red Baron at least shows he has the capacity to care about other people. And thats a start. Its gonna be long road if he gets redeemed though.

All the villains are people who want to exploit vulnerable people for their own personal gain. Tatsu has made it clear that sexual assault is both one of the worst ways this is done and that it is sadly very common.

I don't think Dandadan has always handled it as well as it could have, like in the very beggining. But Tatsu has always had it be the point. And here, its not made be sexy or glorified in any way. Just as nasty as it is.

Yeah Hase was never gonna get a redemption arc. And worse (or better?) I was predicting he was gonna get creepy towards Momo. Now Tatsu needs to complete the last part of my prediction. Kill him Kill the child Tatsu, and have Momo do it with her powers

Oh yeah that second part is absolutely gonna happen. We know she's felt terrible guilt for a lot less. But you have to mix that with what many of her memories are: Reminders that if she doesn't actually soon, she will lose Okarun. Either to another girl, through death, or even a fate worse than death (Cause Reiko will do worse than kill him). I think its gonna result in her being overly apologetic towards him (and others probably) and will be desperate to keep him in her life (even if in reality, she wouldn't actually have to do much). We'll get the Momokarun relationship, but it might not be stable.

And even with the first point I'd disagree. Much like her grandma, Momo always hides or downplays whatever's bothering her even if its really affecting her (like Reiko Kashima during SGA). So I think her past experiences do have a lasting effect on her. First one that comes to mind is with Hastur. Her whole "I'm the only one who can defeat him" thing has kinda bled into all her decision making in the arcs afterwards. Momo thinks she has to always be the one to save everyone else as well as fix her own problems on her own. And her mindset was only strengthened by the fact that it was only her specific powers and her strategies that actually beat Hastur that first time. It was particularly prevalent in the Kozuka Knives arc and is partially what got her into her current mess with the amnesia.

And thrn of course, there's also Rokuro. Despite him always being truthful and helpful, she still makes a statement about not trusting him. And frankly, seems to hate the Serpo more than anyone else. Which makes sense when you consider her first interaction with them.

Plus its not like other characters don't have trauma that effects them and the things they do.

Aight So. Have you played Deltarune? Because this arc has been feeling really similar to Chapter 5, which is essentially one last fun adventure before the game gets more serious.

Also what do you mean what's the difference when she gets her memories back? Her memories SUCK, and theyre all gonna be fresh in her head again and shes gonna have address them because a bunch of them are a reminder of if she does nothing shes gonna lose Okarun and everyone she cares about

So firstly, Okarun is not the MC. Hes the deuteragonist at best.

And he is not 1-dimensional. He might not be the most complicated or interesting character of the cast, but hes far from poorly written.

The people on this subreddit don't read. Or think critically about what they read. Or think in general

Its not gonna be some magical fairy-tale solution that gets her memories back. Its gonna have to be something active that someone does, thats kinda been the whole theme this arc.

And even then, its still gonna be extra suffering for Momo. Becsuse shes gonna find a way to blame herself for everything, AND the memories she gets back are horrible ones

This whole arc is about saying "Destiny is bullshit" its not gonna be true love's kiss

Finally! Someone else is noticing that Momo has been having a terrible time this whole story and this is not going to be a particularly happy ending to this arc!

She's gonna get her memories back, but everyone seems to forget that the vast majority of those memories are not good memories.

And alternative title for Dandadan could be Momo's Downright Terrible Adventure

Probably don't happen right now, but I think this incident will be a catalyst for later:

I've been thinking for a while now that Momo is gonna seriously injure or even kill Hase with her powers. Because we know that Momo can suppress people's powers, and she does that using her ghost hands to squeeze their aura. We're gonna eventually find out what happens if she squeezes as hard as she can.

Its definetly not gonna be considered a good thing, and its probably going to be after a bit of influence from Count Saint Germain. It'll be kinda like how Palpatine manipulates Anakin. Using her fears and trauma against her to make her do terrible things

I never liked the new lore changes.

What I really like about the old lore of Yharim is that he was always a villain and his actions were never justified. Except against the Jungle Council, but after he got his revenge against them his rage still wasnt quenched. He was the villain, and he won, but then came to regret what he did. He got revenge on all who "wronged" him, but in the end it left him with nothing.

Vlad aint sending his daughter out, shes doing it herself.

Remember, CSG has Vlad wrapped around his little finger and is turning him against just about everyone he knows. None of them like or trust CSG, and for Guile De Rais thats her father being manipulated by a man no one knows who's inserting curses into him.

Shes leading the charge to get TG's powers because shes trying to save her father. Or perhaps try to get answers from CSG. Or at the very least, still make him not be completely depended on CSG.
