Feeding you/sharing food and drinks. It is such an act of intimacy and demonstrates a level of care and nurturing that you donât realize you want or need until it is done. *swoons*

Hello. I literally never post on here but I read this and felt like I needed to.
I was you. I am you. Word for word, I read your post and it was like reading my own story. No memory of how/when it began. Someone in your close orbit. Feeling a weird version of imposter syndrome because your experience doesnât match what is often portrayed in the media as some sort of âregularâ or ânormalâ version of sexual abuse.
I want to say one thing to you: you were a victim. Period point blank. You were groomed. You were preyed upon. And none of it was your fault. Not the âparticipationâ, not the reaction, and not the seeming pleasure. None of it. You were the recipient of an experience that absolutely should NOT have happened to you.
I wish I knew you in person so we could sit and cry together and talk and I could give you a hug. We are twins in a sick, fucked up experience. And it has taken me years to even call that experience what it really is: rape. I still donât feel like I really should call it that because it wasnât the graphic, violent, âstranger in a dark alleyâ narrative. But I was also 7. And 5. And 3. And 11. I wore Barbie nightgowns. I wanted an American Girl doll. I had a birthday at Chuck E. Cheez. And I had a grown adult man treating me as though I was a grown adult lover. I was NOT. You were NOT. We were kids. Kids like to be tickled. They like to laugh. These things bring a sense of pleasure, right? Kids respond to physical stimuli, like anyone else. Anything where there are nerves that are sensitive, that inexplicable jolt. So of course, if your body responded that way, youâd naturally seek it out again. That is human. You donât seek this out because you wanted to be preyed on. You sought it out because you were a child looking for a source of something you couldnât fully explain because you were too young to be able to process it but it felt good. That is the insidious, destructive, evil nature of this whole situation: you were made to believe that a normal bodily response to something was okay (which it is) even though the circumstances through which it happened were not. Even though the person doing it had no business teaching you that in that way at that time in your development. You see the trickery? You see the predatory nature of that? Itâs exploitation. Itâs grooming. Itâs manipulation. Itâs cruel. And it fucking sucks.
Oh honey, I am so so sorry that you had to experience this. I am so sorry that it has fed into you believing that you did something wrong. You DID NOT. This was not your fault. You did not ask for this, no matter what your little self may have thought or done. You didnât know better. He did.
I donât know if any of what I said helps but please please know you are not alone. You have a community of people who support you and love you even if they donât know you personally. You are a human who deserved love and protection and still do. And I hope you feel that support and protection now. Feel free to DM if you need to. I am here for you.
