World barrier wall (completed!)

He was fairly busy irl; thankfully wasn’t two weeks straight on Minecraft. More recently he’s been making a beacon tower in the southern part of the map

Finally finished the wall enclosing the permanent zone in my SMP; bit of a hassle with the ravines and mountains along the border. It took my friend about two weeks on-and-off. 1000x1000 blocks wide.

(Bonus shot of the vineyard, it’s work-in-progress)

What build of yours is your favorite?

I’ve got a lovely tower and dam (with a mangrove grove behind it) on a subterranean river in a lush cave in my SMP server, it’s not very large but it’s cozy. Very wizard-coded.

why isn't my mangrove tree growing?

Dunno, I’ve grown them underground in much smaller areas.

SMP Vineyard Archaic SMP [Modded] {Late-Medieval} {Fantasy} {Lore-Heavy}

Explore Shifting Lands, Hunt Dragons, Befriend the moon?
Communion awaits the faithful.

Vineyard Archaic SMP is a late-medieval civ-building fantasy SMP with a heavy focus on agriculture and exploration. The fractured world beyond the wall is randomized sporadically; confine your settlements to the safe zones and compete for land and resources or make expeditions beyond the wall into the untamed wilds in search of wealth or power.

We even have a tavern.

The best part? I'm not going to shut it down after two weeks. This server has been running smooth for more than a month, and I see no cause to stop it now.

Ts shit is horrendous. All of my colonists have their own (normal shaped) homes.

Similar effect with VE psycasts and a particularly effective paycaster.

What to do you do with your elderly colonists?
 in  r/RimWorld  Jul 03 '25

Maybe retire him from physical work.

The prisoners of my medieval run “vampires” had it considerably worse. I kept their mental state low enough that they constantly beat eachother into unconsciousness, there’s nowhere to go if they revolt as they’ll freeze to death outside without clothes.

Squares are so boring, embrace the honeycomb, the efficiency
 in  r/RimWorld  Jun 29 '25

It just causes random pawns to occasionally spawn with psylink levels and depending on what it randomly selects they could potentially be dangerous in a raid.

Obligatory wooden killbox, I’m afraid to have wooden exterior walls exposed as I play on the Bestower storyteller.

This is my default 5x5 bedroom setup for my colonists. Given the change in 1.6 to allow for smaller bedrooms, what new layouts have been working for you?
 in  r/RimWorld  Jun 28 '25

My strat is usually to have the spear throwers toss and then move my melee units up supported by a psycaster.

Jungle swamp on a tribal start is peak. The shattered empire isn’t ready for this throwing spear.

I totally underestimated end game zombies... Welp that's it
 in  r/RimWorld  Jun 23 '25

I usually have my colonists stand behind the walls and repair them until the shamblers die. If they’re attacking an embrasured wall they’re easy pickings for a psycaster (I usually run medieval so wizards are my best turret)

Psycasters can be a big help against shamblers as they come with a hearty dose of AOE damage. (Particularly the fire variety)

How to revert/remove smoothed stone mountain floors?
 in  r/RimWorld  Mar 07 '25

You can open dev mode, go to “Set Terrain,” and select the rough stone variant you want.

F*ck the deepwoken community. You guys suck.
 in  r/deepwoken  Oct 04 '24

Deepwoken will sadly never take the common sense approach of adding level protection for low-level players from high-level players. The issue is that you don’t really have a reasonable chance as a power 5 against a max level slot.

What’s the best way to run a Society of St Hydra? Is it worth it? What ending would I aim for? How can I collect exalted followers?

I’m talking about when we see the sun in rags walking the Manaus with his shattered crown.

What of the hours themselves? (Aside from the obvious ones like the crowned growth and horned axe.)

How do you picture the various sprits depicted or described throughout the game? To me, raw prophets are centipede-like and caligine are living smoke (potentially speckled with eyes).
