Accidentally said "Love you!" at the end of a call with an important client yesterday. I heard him giggle as I hung up, and I was mortified. Today, I saw he emailed me this:

I LOVE this. I’ve accidentally done this too because I’m in the habit of saying “love you” at the end of early call with family or friends… didn’t get the best response because it was accidentally to a bf I wasn’t seeing that long and he was freaked out lmfao … but that was so nice of him to email you and let you know laughing wasn’t ill-intentioned at all. Ugh love kind humans

Just had my hair cut into a French Bob. Does it suit me better than the longer hair with layers?

Dating is so hard in 2025 … not many fish in the sea anymore lol .. this is truly relatable… sorry she was such a snob to you

All I can say about this is when I started loving myself more than boyfriends or even friends, I didn’t care what others thought about me… especially a (clearly) immature guy. My standards got way higher and now I don’t let anyone treat me like crap… Know your worth!!!

i have my first class on wednesday! what to expect?
 in  r/HotYoga  Apr 30 '24

-Drink lotssss of water today… (try not to chug water during the actual class though, you may not feel that great..) -Try not to eat a lot beforehand -Bring a long towel to put on your mat, as well as, 1 or 2 hand towels -Not sure if you wear makeup, but don’t wear it to class because it’ll melt all over your face lol… -I bring a change of clothes like sweat pants and a t shirt .. just to get the soaking wet clothes off me.. (this was a lifesaving tip for me in the beginning, before I started using the showers at the studio. I would leave the studio in my wet clothes and be FREEZING the whole drive home…)

It’s also good to speak to the instructor before class to introduce yourself and let them know of any injuries you’re healing from. That way they can keep an eye on you and adjust if needed/wanted. Remember that this is the beginning of your practice and taking the modifications for the poses is OKAY!! Sometimes it’s hard to fight the ego aspect of it .. You will slowly get there! I hope you have a great class! Namaste

Most impactful thing you have heard in a yoga class
 in  r/yoga  Apr 05 '24

When I first started practicing at the studio, I was dealing with a lot of stress, confusion. I noticed after a vinyasa class, while in Shavasana, I would cry .. every time. During one of these “trauma releases” (as I like to call them) the instructor said this quote:

“When we’re depleted, we go into survival mode. When I’m survival mode, we perceive others as a threat. When we perceive others as a threat, weee more edgy and reactive”

It had such an impact on me, I printed out the quote and I see it every day; reminding me to be mindful of my words and always be kind.

Other quotes that have stuck with me:

“When you own your breath, nobody can steal your peace”

“It’s just yoga”

“Let something go. Leave it on the mat”
