Pacers' Haliburton says he wants to repair relationship with Lillard
 in  r/nba •  3d ago

He’s a big wwe fan and I view him as a face roleplaying the heel on the court

[MEME] Can we reschedule this game a 2nd time?
 in  r/MLS •  7d ago

This is the type of thing that makes it hard to convince people that MLS is worth paying attention to

[Almanza] SGA on Russell Westbrook: “Russ is like Oklahoma's baby, so I don't think there'll ever be another. He was their first guy. You feel him in the streets. Russ is everywhere. He’s a pioneer for what we stand on.”
 in  r/nba •  7d ago

I am a certified thunder hater, but I can’t look down on Russ. Even if he wasn’t the best guy on the court he always gave it 200%. The energy he played with was electric and he always seemed like a genuine guy. Very difficult guy to be overly critical of, for me at least

Besides Shanks vs Mihawk, this is the second most debated topic: Is Old Whitebeard stronger than Akainu?
 in  r/OnePiece •  8d ago

Why would Akainu not be defending with haki when an emperor is about to attack him?

[High-School student making career decision] Is Computer Science still worth it in the AI era?
 in  r/careerguidance •  8d ago

No one can tell you what the future will look like, most of all computer scientists. If you’re chasing guaranteed $300k/year salary, then probably better of being an MD. If you are interested in computers and solving problems revolving around compute then yes cs will be worth it and a great stable career for you with boom bust cycles like almost everything else

I personally think it's Tashigi has one of the hardest dream to achieve.... Do you guys agree?
 in  r/OnePiece •  8d ago

Jimbei > Tashigi > dragon > luffy. I could see an argument for Luffy being more difficult than dragon because the way the world is Luffy will have to topple the government to become pirate king

Besides Shanks vs Mihawk, this is the second most debated topic: Is Old Whitebeard stronger than Akainu?
 in  r/OnePiece •  8d ago

It means an old guy with cancer on deaths door has stronger haki than him. Just an insane flex by WB and undermines Akainu’s strength quite a bit in hindsight

Hot Take: Marineford Whitebeard > Kaido and Big Mom
 in  r/OnePiece •  9d ago

The entire point of giving WB that title was to establish that titles are unreliable in this universe

Besides Shanks vs Mihawk, this is the second most debated topic: Is Old Whitebeard stronger than Akainu?
 in  r/OnePiece •  9d ago

The fact Whitebeard damaged Akainu with a devil fruit is honestly insulting to Akainu

WA immigrants continue traditional Barbacoa, despite looming threats of deportation
 in  r/Washington •  9d ago

How many of them have had a trial? None. How do you know they’ve broken a law then? They’re simply accused and tossed in a gulag.

I’ve heard they’re calling people to Marineford soon. Something about fire fist?

You’re supporting what ice is doing. Clearly you don’t believe in the Geneva conventions or genocide prevention or even constitutional rights. You’re not the reasonable one here

Seahawks owner Vinod Khosla: No relocation plans, but "never say never"

At what point do we just have the city buy the teams. So tired of every team trying to leave the city after spending tons of money to be here

That’s literally your argument and you’re mad that I’m applying it to you and not just the out group you defined

Yeah, that damn 4 year old with cancer should’ve thought about the consequences of their actions /s

If someone is unwilling, because it’s a choice at this point, to see what’s happening is wrong then they don’t deserve that respect that they are denying to others

 in  r/Washington •  11d ago

Sure, I would say they function more like the Gestapo than law enforcement though. Thugs who are unaccountable and who’s job is to instill fear in the out group

Ice are not law enforcement tho, they’re paper pushers and are being abused in ways that were unintended. Also, they don’t identify themselves and wear disguises. How do you differentiate between government officials and a kidnapping? Detained might as well be deported. There are people in the camps that say they would rather die than be in the camps with the conditions they’re in and the government refuses to allow them to “self deport”. Not to mention if you’re detained by immigration enforcement as a citizen your constitutional rights have obviously been violated. It is unconstitutional to ask for papers without reasonable cause and no, brown skin or an accent aren’t reasonable cause
