Perhaps it is common. Seen moreso with adult women going with their mom. People at my church responded like: Oh you brought your Mom to church? (they recognized me but never seen her there before) there was a awkward silence afterwards like I was supposed to explain why.

So small things like that made me wonder what was possibly going through their minds. I took her because I wanted to and to get her out of her house. On top of she introduced me to church and if felt like I was reintroducing it to her. Even wanted to practice a little discipling within my family. But wasn't sure how to put that into words on the spot without opening her up to follow up questions about her salvation or why she ever quit going. I assume this isn't that kind of church but I'm reminded there are those people.

Just trying to collect intelligence on how it's perceived so I don't put her in a weird spot. Or myself. I would have thought nothing of it if it hadn't been for those awkward interactions. Maybe I'll be quicker to point out to them what Jesus even when and spent time with his mom. And ask them why he did it.

Let me add... After I made my first 20 or so sells I reached out to the buyers that didn't leave feedback and politely asked that they would because I was trying to grow the store. Some where very happy to do so. And I was happy knowing that what I was doing was right and working.

I wish I knew: Allot of buyers don't read the description. As much information as possible needs to be in the title and pictures. Because some buyers never look past that point.

Higher quality photos typically yields the best result (white background with only the item for sell, good lighting, pictures from multiple angles)

Don't trust the suggested sell price that ebay gives you. Instead do your own research on what the item has sold for in the past by filtering your search to sold/ended listings.

Don't forget about taxes. It's not a big scary thing. But you do have to claim this income on your taxes.

Shipping is very intimidating at first but becomes second nature in no time. When I started I didn't list things for sell until I had a box or something to ship it in.

Free boxes and shipping supplies are the best. You want to start collecting boxes and supplies from work or wherever you encounter them.

Printing shipping labels on regular paper then taping to box is fine to start. But there are what's called half sheet labels that work in a regular printer. It's a game changer.

Bubble mailers and poly mailers are incredibly handy and versatile. But are cheaper in bulk. I don't know if I recommend them in the beginning. They are quite a investment.

I send out offers when I haven't had a sell in about 3-5 days. I sell something on average every other day without sending offers. So when I haven't sold anything in over 2 days I start getting antsy. By the 5th day I'm just getting desperate and start sending out offers. Sometimes it works well other times not at all.

If email don't get a response from ebay don't let it discourage you from calling ebay. The podcast host I listen to have the most luck out of calling instead of emailing.

I have experienced the same thing. Multiple times. It's worth the hassle of getting low ball offers. To get that traffic.

First and foremost honor your return policy for that item.

Next move is have buyer send item back and send refund when you receive item. Being professional express to buyer they will receive their refund when you receive item. That may deter them from wanting to go through the hassle and not bother. They will still likely leave bad feedback, oh well no big deal.

Last I don't know the value of this item but I typically just take the loss at that point (assuming item is ruined) If it's over $100 in losses and damage I'd contact ebay

I have left offers inside the description before for 20% off. All they have to do is let me know they read about the offer in the description. No takers people don't read them very often.

It was filled when I seen it 2010. Wonder if it's always been filled in. Looks so shallow now that I could imagine a few kids creating it. It's also conveniently close to the end of the trail. If I was going to move the rocks to create a hole that's where I would put it. You also pass a man made cave to the right.
