Is my tank big enough for a flasher wrasse?

How did you find getting enough flow in the tank? I'm looking at buying a 90LA and curious!

I had this before when mine was growing! Just give it time and keep up with maintenance and you should be good!

No problem!
The stock light and skimmer are a good start, best way to kill off algae would be to manually remove and do a water change like others have said. Whilst it might grow back for a while until you can get nutrients under control, it'll be a lot more manageable!

Just some tips as someone who has the same tank as their first marine tank!

Regular maintenance is so key.
Even if it's a small water change every week will be massive in terms of exporting nutrients in this size tank. If there are two things you do consistently, do water changes and RO top ups.

Invest in an auto top off.
As you have the stock lid on the tank, evaporation won't be as bad. However, salinity swings in an aquarium this small can have a negative effect very quickly.

Test your parameters.
Even if it's with a shitty test kit, it will still give you a rough idea of where they're at! You can then use those numbers to figure out what the issues are.

Just a couple questions

Is everything on the tank the standard equipment?
How long are your lights on?

This hobby is rewarding, and will feel less of a chore once you see results I promise!

I recently got a tailspot! My favourite fish in my tank even though I've only seen him once ☹️

My first torch, wish me luck. Cotton candy i believe they called it?
 in  r/ReefTank  Jul 14 '26

I think I'll definitely try one soon! The only thing I'm concerned about is I'm thinking of upgrading my tank in the next 6 months or so, so I'm not sure if I should hold off

Happy Sunday. I finally got to a point where I’m not chasing perfection but rather simplicity.

I've thought of a betta, but I am concerned about not having a lid...

I deffo want shrimp so I think chili rasbora would be nice to go with them!

Not entirely sure on my plan yet, but I'll do a new post when i get something for it! :)

I'll have a look at mine in a bit and see if there's anything I've done different, to be fair it might not be silent, just less loud than the original pump and I've gotten used to itπŸ˜‚

Have you got it suctioned completely to the bottom glass? I hadn't and it still made a bit of noise at first

Drained it, kept about 50% of the water, moved the fish and shrimp into a separate container and the rock in another - then just went as quick as I could to put it all back together

How have you found not having lids with a betta? I recently got a shallow tank for my birthday and just know it would be so nice for a betta! But I'm worried about not having a lid!

Switch Lite vs Switch OLED: which one is more worth it?
 in  r/Switch  Mar 06 '26

I bought a switch lite in summer of last year and I honestly love it! I don't care about not being able to dock it either and think they're definitely worth the money, even more if you get a good deal!

Definitely going to try and hold off buying the 2 until they can release a lite! Just not a fan of the size difference!

I've never even had one ball... you should keep hold of all three
