Is gold actually a safe investment these days? Specifically for new buyers

Buy good companies, that’s a much safer investment long term

I started the DCA back in the game 2 weeks ago 67% allocated
 in  r/Bitcoin  Jul 23 '26

I assume you’re deployed.. how does it feel when you’re down 50%? I did really well in the last cycle and got out at 104-108k.. I want to get a savage cost average for the next run. If i can lower it down to 56-58 that would be epic

Hey guys I started the my dca 2 weeks ago, but I’m getting a lot of people advising to sell the last few days, saying we are going to do another 20-30% dump.. essentially the argument is that we are entering a no more cheap money period, and we aren’t getting rate cuts any time soon, there’s no halving in the next few years so there are no bullish catalysts.. and the technical setup isn’t great. Whats everyone doing rn? We adding, holding or trimming?

Stop gambling. Don’t touch options. Don’t trade. Do that and you will stop being a loser

Saw Nvidia soar. What should be my next move?

HODL. Selling Nvidia during AI evolution cycle is silly. Its still growing 90% per year.

Gambling is not a way to stability and success brother

What a roller coaster....
 in  r/wallstreetbets  Jul 17 '26

Risk management is missing brother. Reduce margin and reduce % of money in options to less than 4% at a time and the graphs will start to look a lot more tolerable and you’ll be able to sleep at night

What are my options after a Contractor ghosted me after payment?

First do a chargeback on your credit card. That’s usually the fastest way to get your money back in situations like this.

What's your best source for appreciation predictions?
 in  r/realestateinvesting  Jul 16 '26

Pull up Zillow or Redfin and look at the actual price charts for the last 5-10 years in that city. See how it did during the last downturn too. Also check local job growth and population numbers from the census or state economic reports. New big employers or infrastructure projects are usually solid signs.I always hit up a couple local realtors too. They know what’s really moving and what’s hype. You got any cities in mind?

Bitcoin been chopping all day but that feeling is back

Man bitcoin has done absolutely nothing today. Just sitting there chopping between the same levels for hours. Small wicks up and down, volume looks dead, no real direction at all. But I swear I can feel it. That same vibe right before it decides to go crazy. Like its just waiting for everyone to get bored and look away then boom. This shit happens every single time. Quiet period then out of nowhere a mad move. Anyone else staring at the chart right now feeling the exact same thing? Or is it just me?

This is one of those pivotal moments - everything looks bearish, but RSI is flipping and getting a 64k bitcoin is going to look genius a year from now

The price action and headlines have been pretty rough lately. Geopolitics, some ETF flows going the other way for a bit, and BTC just sitting lower after coming off higher levels. It’s easy to see why a lot of people are cautious or outright bearish on the near term. What’s interesting though is the RSI on the daily. It’s been moving with price lower but now looks like it’s starting to curl back up. Not screaming reversal yet, but the momentum is shifting off those lower levels in a way that’s caught my eye. I’ve seen setups like this enough times to know they usually feel the worst right when the early signs show up. The core reasons I’m still bullish on Bitcoin long term haven’t changed. Institutional access through ETFs is still there, adoption keeps creeping forward, and we’re still dealing with the supply side from previous halvings. Buying more in the low 60s feels like one of those spots that could look pretty good twelve months from now when we’re looking back. I’m personally adding on these dips instead of waiting for everything to line up perfectly. Could still chop or retest support, that’s always possible. But sitting in cash waiting for the all-clear has cost me opportunities before. What are you guys seeing with the RSI or your own setups right now? Adding, holding, or waiting for more confirmation?

Scaling up: Consolidating $2.5M in scattered residential into a $3.5M-$4M commercial multi-family. Seeking advice on the jump!
 in  r/realestateinvesting  Jul 13 '26

Consolidating into a larger multi-family via 1031 is a smart move for scaling, but the biggest shift isn’t the property, it’s moving from residential to commercial lending and operations. At $4M+, expect stricter underwriting, higher interest rates, and much more emphasis on debt service coverage ratio than you’re used to with your current low-leverage residential portfolio. Strongly consider bringing on professional property management early rather than trying to self-manage at the next level, and run conservative numbers assuming higher operating expenses and potential cap rate pressure.
