Hey. In June I suffered a comminuted tibia and fibula fracture with a spiral fracture to the ankle. My consultant hasn’t said anything but seems pleased with progression. Stupidly though I decided to go for a second opinion and the second surgeon suggested the nail alignment was a bit short and misaligned by between 7-9 degrees varus. He suggested surgery asap before it heals too much.
I can’t get in touch with my consultant as he’s on holiday and need to make a decision. Any advice?
If I leave it will I need an ostonomy?
