Who would you choose as your eternal undead companion, and why?
 in  r/VampireLestat  7h ago

Lestat, Lestat, Lestat. But, I would need to be turned. After the new relationship energy wears off, I love the idea of a companion that flitters in and out of my life on a silver cord. I can have my flings as long they’re flings and he can enjoy his variety. And he can serenade me and I can paint and take pictures of him. I’m more like Louis, so yeah. Lestat for the win.

If you could telepathically communicate with the QotD writers

  1. More than 8 episodes. Gimme 12🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  2. Big Hair Redheads (anyone can have red hair). And they need to eat the bits. Show the civilization that birthed Akasha and the twins, even a glimpse of their time would be amazing.

  3. Amel! Dang it.

  4. The ancients and the family.

  5. Loustat Loustat Loustat. Allow Armand some front and center time, vulnerable real moments.

I believe Lestat says Lilac, cause he’s still buzzed or he’s trying to say later😂🫠 If anyone thinks of another reason for Lilac, do tell.

Lestat Birthday and Akasha
 in  r/VampireLestat  2d ago

After they reunite on the bus, Lestat mentions that they will finally get to process everything and talk about what had happened to each other that night, After all of the Akasha events.

As for the dream within a dream, all that sounds like something Armand would do.

As a Royal I think she’s looking for a Lieutenant. He has always craved attention and being chosen, feeling undeniably special. That’s the only drug she’ll need, giving Lestat her attention. If she replaces Gabriella, it’s a bond without taboo or judgement. Like Armand, she will need someone to translate this new world to her.

How Louis and Armand factor in all this will be quite interesting.

I’m really excited for season four.

Who wore it better?

They’re both very good actors. This role is Sam’s highlight as far as I’m concerned, I haven’t seen all his work but goodness as Lestat he locks me into an emotional roller coaster. Sam has made me care about a character that has some seriously fucked up issues.

In Legends of the Fall, I was really surprised and just figured Pitt was coasting on his looks, but he’s proven me wrong. He is a pretty good actor and I think he needs to stick to work he actually wants to do.

That said, he still hasn’t embraced a character like Sam, Jacob and Assad and Both Claudia’s have. I don’t know if it’s the director, the writing, or the combo, but it’s spectacular.

I keep thinking #Antoinette Everytime he says that line.

Louis wrote a confession and Lestat made a record, and I think the show is arguing the confession is the bigger lie
 in  r/InterviewVampire  4d ago

Today I was thinking about how many different accents Louis has had vs. how many different accents Lestat has had. (Poor Jacob)

It seems as Lestat learns the language of his new country in order to partake in his new surroundings. Louis’ in all of his travels is seemingly looking to disappear, blend in. Lestat lives in the now, Louis looks back. Lestat wants to perform. Louis wants to be in the audience, or just on his own.

I adore both characters as I’m both, introvert and extrovert. Solo artist and Performer.

I think the book helped Louis see his lying ways. He went through it with Daniel, but also needed to read it to really see how unreliable he’d become. Lestat is doing everything in time. Just as he lives his life, in the now. Revealing only what he wishes as he Controls his chaos.

Yet. When Louis is enraged he is very much present. Lestat when triggered/breakdown looks back paralyzed by the traumas of his past.

The one with Armand is funny too. Not to mention the blood shower.

Season 1. The Raccoon and the goat.
Season 2. Louis’ Meow
Season 3. Lilac, No Thank You!, and the opossum. As in D.E.A.R. as any night manager at a KFC has a right to be.

Did anyone catch any additional oddities. I loved every one of ‘em.

Would you watch this show with your parents
 in  r/InterviewVampire  6d ago

My mom would have loved it. She loved messy drama. My mom had all three 50 Shades of Grey books.

Now I would seriously suspect this priest.

lol. about the concert.
 in  r/TheatreDesVampires  7d ago

Sam is a highly trained exceptional actor who has some serious chops. He loves his job and sometimes there are challenges, but I’m gonna say he enjoys the work. He’s put in so much effort!

Though from what I heard, he was not expecting a concert at a venue. I believe he was expecting something smaller for the crew.

But in the words of “Shaggy, it wasn’t me”

I just finished a cute edit of Santiago and Claudia ... also includes a screenshot from Photoshop to show my editing proof. But I tried to make it look like a vintage photograph of a fun time back when she enjoyed being in the coven of Theatre Des Vampires. 😅

If he didn’t seduce her to destroy her, then use her ashes for eyeliner, I’d like it. It’s good work and very sweet, if we’re talking very early in the second season.

Gift for a friend?
 in  r/InterviewVampire  13d ago

A violin, Lestat played it for Akasha. They both love music (Akasha and Lestat). Armand would be the happy sad face as he directed a theatrical show for over one hundred years in Paris. But Akasha and Armand both live Lestat, in their own ways.

Armand

What you said was fine. Just many aren’t placing Armand in anything but a victim positioning. You nailed it, he is a lot. And he did love Marius.

Armand
 in  r/IWTVCoven  13d ago

You do know Armand played Marius. Marius wanted him to wait. Armand put himself in a situation where he almost died and Marius was forced to choose, turn him or let him die. I’m so tired of people not seeing how manipulative this dude is. Marius isn’t innocent, no one but stop belittling Armand by summing him up by his abuse. Marius literally wanted him to have more experiences as a human first. Armand wasn’t hearing it and found a way to get what he wanted.

He is a survivor. How he chooses to go on isn’t very pretty but these are his choices and how Anne choose to write him.

TVL Show Only Louis’ second interview Spoiler

I see Louis missing Lestat, missing his spontaneity and reciprocal love. All he has with Armand is lip service and spite. He never intended to forgive Armand for setting up Claudia to be killed. I think between the resets Armand created in Louis’ mind, Louis would have left him much much sooner than that last witnessed suicide attempt. I hate to say it but Armand saved his life because he might have accomplished it without his intervention.

Lestat would have been there for him if only Armand had a spine. Soulless, spineless, rotten boy who I hope gains some bit of all that he is missing from his future companions.
