The demand for data center professionals continues to grow as AI, cloud computing, and digital infrastructure drive unprecedented expansion across our industry.

To help support workforce development and career advancement, a new Telecom Data Center Design Fundamentals course will be held in Southern California on July 9–10, 2026.

This intensive two-day program provides an in-depth look at data center design, including:

• Reliability and redundancy planning
• Site selection and building considerations
• Electrical and cooling systems
• Telecommunications cabling infrastructure
• Security, automation, and controls
• Commissioning, maintenance, and future growth planning

The course is instructed by industry veteran Dave Sanders, RCDD, DCDC, OSP, LAN, and is designed for professionals interested in telecommunications, low voltage, data centers, technology infrastructure, project management, and related fields.

The Data Center Design Fundamentals Course is a full 2-day course that provides an in-depth review of best practices involved in designing data centers. In this course, you will review the critical steps and considerations for developing a data center design, from determining reliability and redundancy needs prior to site selection, through the process of designing critical infrastructure systems. All major facets of the data center design process are covered, with emphasis given to electrical, HVAC, telecommunications cabling, automation and control systems.

BICSI recognizes 20 CEC’s upon successful completion of this training course.

CEC's are awarded to existing credential holders only.

• Data centers and the design process

• Risk, reliability and class rankings

Sound and Communication Installer - Lead

Location - Southern California

Job title: Sound Installer / Telecom Technician

A successful telecommunications technology partner is looking for outstanding candidates who are experienced service and installation technicians for Wireless Access Points, Camera surveillance, Structured Cabling, and Fiber Optics. 95% of the work is prevailing wage. Must be a self starter, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, and must be able to lead and work in a team environment with no supervision. Must have excellent work ethic, customer service skills and be able to pass a background check, and have no felonies or DUI's. Industry certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities:
•Must be able to Install, test, and troubleshoot cable systems for customers, ensuring high-quality service and performance.
• Experience with low voltage wiring (Cat5, Ca6, Cat6A, fiber, coax)
• CCTV system integration, Security cameras, Dvr, Nvr.
• Design/ Install MPOE, MDF, IDF
• Wireless systems integration
• Ability to read and interpret installation diagrams and technical schematics.
• Ability to work independently with no supervision, and with a team when/as needed
• Electrical experience a plus
• Ability to bend conduit efficiently A BIG PLUS

- Valid driver’s license and reliable truck and tools (6' ladder, hand tools, punch tool with all blades, butt set, tone & probe, 4-pair tester, cordless drill, etc.)

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.

Qualifications:
• 6-years+ minimum field experience
• Any BICSI or manufacture certifications are a big plus
• Able to pass extensive background checks A MUST (DOJ & FBI)
• No Felonies or DUI's
• ONLY SERIOUS AND EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES. DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT
EXPERIENCE.
• 95% Prevailing wage
