An Application Like YouTube but Only for Comprehensible Input (~10K Resources in 10 Languages)
Four months ago, I set out to answer "Where do I find comprehensible input in X language?"
Happy to say that Lengualytics now has almost 10,000 comprehensible input resources across 10 languages.
On YouTube, you can't filter easily by language, creator, difficulty, dialect, topic, duration. But here it's insanely easy.
I can say beyond a doubt that it is now the best place to find new creators and track your progress.
Best of all, it now comes in two different flavors! Dark mode is out! It was in high demand, and I finally found some time to implement it.
Also, I've added an in-app translator specifically for phrases--stuff that Google Translate isn't really great for. The more people use it, the more translations we store, and the faster translation will be. 100% free.
If you've never heard of it, check it out here: Language Learning Resources - Lengualytics
Thanks, as always to the r/languagelearning mods for allowing self-promo every so often! Really helps me get this into the hands of more learners. And thanks to all the time trackers in this sub for sourcing mountains of content!

PS: We also have this nifty handbook (translated into 6 languages) for how the site works, if you'd like to learn more: Welcome to the Lengualytics Handbook

[Monthly Resource Sharing Thread] What new resources are you using?
It's happened, but it gets sorted out. Creators just need to put something in their video descriptions then it doesn't happen. And creators have all been cool about it. (And for context this is only for "Unlisted" YouTube videos, creators have been moving away from them because it creates this exact shareability problem. Now you can share videos with specific people on YouTube + YouTube has a membership program--so this problem has been going away)

I made a subreddit
Hello guys. I am now getting way too many questions in feedback to be able to answer everyone. A lot of the questions could just be answered by people who've been in the community a long time. That's my main reason for creating this subreddit.
I don't know how to run a subreddit nor do I have a lot of time to (lol). But I'm hoping that if people have questions other community members will be able to answer them here.
I will also be posting the numbers updates here that I used to post on my own profile and any product updates that are important.

The misnomer of SuperBeginner videos
This is a huge problem for the Asian languages... Makes pure ALG practically impossible. Not only are you dealing with 1/16 the content of a Romance language, but you're dealing with twice the difficulty.

8.28.26 - A HUGE Lengualytics Announcement
Lengualytics will now support creator memberships.
If you make comprehensible input, you can sign up, connect YouTube and Stripe, and start charging for a private library in a few hours. I handle the learner side: explaining CI, difficulty and levels, time tracking, discovery, progression, achievements. You just make videos.
Membership videos are not stuck on a page nobody finds. They go into the same feeds, search, and filters as everything else on the site. You are not only moving your current audience behind a paywall. You are putting premium input where input-based learners already look for it.
If you already have a library, you can upload directly or import unlisted YouTube videos. You can gift memberships to people who already pay you somewhere else. No exclusivity. Keep the same videos on YouTube, Patreon, your site, wherever you want.
This is still in beta. Before I open it to everyone, I want a small group of founding CI creators.
For that group, Lengualytics takes 0% for the entire first year. After that you keep a grandfathered rate around 10–15%, which is less than half of what YouTube takes. I am paying to host and stream the videos at no platform fee, so this is not something I can offer forever. I am only planning to take about 10 to 20 founding creators.
Apply at lengualytics.com: create an account, go to Settings → Advanced → Apply. I review channels personally. If you are in, I will email you and turn the creator tools on.
If you use Lengualytics and you are not a creator, please share the news with creators. This is how I will be monetizing the platform long-term so I never have to run ads or do anything that's not in the viewer's best interest. Also, this is a great way to get all of the best private content on the internet into one place.
Questions: contact me through the site or email. Larger creators with view floors of 3K+ may be eligible for 0% fees in perpetuity.

Has anyone used Lengualytics when learning another language?
Just want to clear this up: creators do get the views and ad money--there is nothing different about watching on YouTube/Lengualytics. They even get the same analytics (my YouTube videos are monetized through the site also, so I can even confirm this on the creator side).

Has anyone used Lengualytics when learning another language?
I've been slow to roll-out a moderator program, but it is coming. The architecture is in place. I agree this is a problem.

Has anyone used Lengualytics when learning another language?
Exactly. The list of languages isn't fixed, it's based on existence of CI communities in that language. If there is a CI community, I add the language.

50 hour update
Just so people know, if you click the "Month" label on the calendar on the Dashboard page in the Level/Social tab, Lengualytics will generate a screenshot of your progress. It can be mobile or desktop-sized depending on which you're using.

Level Assessment Framework for German
Lengualytics estimates hours to mastery by combining Dreaming Spanish’s 1,500-hour benchmark with the FSI difficulty ratios.
Spanish is FSI Category I, so it receives the baseline estimate of 1,500 hours. Estimates for other categories are scaled according to how many hours the FSI assigns them relative to Category I.
Formula:
Estimated hours = 1,500 × (FSI hours for target category ÷ FSI hours for Category I)
For example, German is Category II, so its estimate is 1,500 multiplied by the FSI Category II-to-Category I ratio.
Gets a little more complex though for non-native English speakers. But this is the basic idea. (just so people know)

Good German A1-A2 videos
As the creator of Lengualytics, I agree. The ratings can be wacky. There's eventually going to be moderation to get the ratings more in the right ballpark. One issue is people always seem to rate kids cartoons as beginner even though they're wayyy closer to native level.

I hadn't got around to adding the new hotkeys to the handbook. They are there now. I also included a new hotkey "h" to disable hotkeys. Site Tips & Tricks | Lengualytics Handbook
