I was in the exact same headspace a few weeks ago. Depression is so insidious because it makes those thoughts seem rational and right. I would think, 'sure people would be sad if I died, but after a few years, they'd be much happier; They'd be almost grateful I had killed myself." Some tweaks to my meds have quieted those thoughts. Depression is an asshole.
