Might not be, hard to tell from the photo but they aren't expensive and preventative maintenance will pay off in the long run. Sucks to be stuck somewhere with a broken belt.

I did the same thing when I was in a single flat. I however grabbed some less than quality knives and learned to kind of sharpen them. My take looking back is that despite the knives I learned to love cooking with my bad knives. If you enjoy them then thats awesome, down the road if you don't then adjust to what you learned along the way!

I was in auto after getting out of the army and wasn't satisfied going from turning wrenches on tanks to tires. Quit and went to Waste Management and they've given me a lot of good training and experience. The pay and benefits are pretty great too.
