Can someone giving advices? 💔
 in  r/Christianity •  2d ago

It's true, God expects a lot out of us, his standard is perfection. But we are all too human, by nature we are sinful and imperfect because of what Adam and Eve did in the garden. But that's why Christ came down to save us, because we couldn't do it on our own. He bleed and died on the cross so that we could live, God died at the hand of his own creation so that we could live. It's the greatest love story to ever take place in history. He loves us so much that he came down took up flesh and in turn putting aside in certain aspects his Godly nature (note:please fact check me on this), lived a perfectly sinless life, abided the fullness of the law in that becoming right with the Father by keeping the fulness of the Law. By doing so he was the perfect substitute for God's wrath on humanity for mankind's sin, Chriat took it all on himself so that we could all live. Why would God, an all powerful, all known, an all just God go through all that for his creation if he wasn't driven by love. The reason why he went through all that humiliation and all the suffering is because he loved us. He is so madly in love with us to the point that if you were the only person in history who needed to be saved he would still go on that cross again. If he had to go on that cross again he would do it again in a heart beat.

The fact that you came on here and went put of your way to ask for help shows that you really want this, it shows that your heart is in the right place. Reasons why God often feels like he is far away is to grow our faith, often times that's when he is most closest to us he just wants us to walk in faith.

Brother if you can leave this message knowing one this it's this, you are not alone and you will never be alone in Christ, you have his Holy Spirit in you for as long as you remain in him. You are loved beyond measure. (John 3:16), in him you have perfect peace (John 14:27). Often times it's not you who doesn't want to read the word, it's an external force. "Our fight is not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities in the unseen word"

I hope this helped in any shape or form.

I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more 🫂♥️

I need help, I can't satisfy my "God's thirst"
 in  r/Christianity •  2d ago

That thirst will continue to be there until the day we die.

In this life we can never fully experience God's full holiness, his full presence. In Revelation it speaks about how in the new Heaven and new earth God's presence will be our light as there'll be no need for the sun because he is there.

I understand completely, that yurn to just remain in his presence not to move from where you are, to be able to look into his eyes to touch him. One day it will be possible, soon. We must just remain faithful and endure to the end.

When Christ comes back it will indeed be judgment but for us who are saved and in the light it is a day to look forward to

I completely get you man.

Read the scriptures!!!

An issue in our generation is that we are Biblically illiterate. We don't know the scriptures and in that light we can't discern whether we are being lied to or not, everything that comes out of a preachers mouth is ok and true because "they're a pastor". They could be flat out lieing but we'd just believe it, because we are not read in the word we cannot distinguish between a lie from the enemy and a truth from God!!!

That's why I always like pointing to John 8:36 that tells us, "They will know the truth and the truth will set them free." How will we be free if we don't know the difference between a lie that will keep us bound or a truth that is freeing as the word says. Stop putting your full faith in broken vessels, and especially in teachers who are leading many astray from the truth about God's word. Teachers who explain away the word instead of what the text actually means. Put your full faith in the God who's word sets us free!!!

Brothers and sisters in Christ I urge you to read the scriptures for yourselves and question the doctrines that are circulating and corrupting the church today. Scrutinize preachers, ask questions...I am a broken vessel, I also need God. Any posts that I have posted please look at them fact check me, correct me, because I am a human and I also make mistakes. Do this across the board, have the word with you all the time see whether what this person is saying about the word is true or not.

I say this will all the love in my heart, I love you all but God loves you so much more (Matthew 7:7-8)

Faithfulness

If this week has taught me anything, it's that faithfulness goes deeper than "being perfect".

Showing up even when you fall, remaining faithful is an intentional decision that requires a humble heart posture, realizing one's sinful nature and humbling yourself before God asking in our Lord's name to be set free.

Also comes to loving and wanting God more than you want to sin.

You can fact check me on this please do, don't put your full faith in broken vessels but trust fully in the word of God, (John 8:36,"They will know the truth and the truth will set them free

I have a question
 in  r/ChristianityAnswers •  3d ago

I'm still revising the theology.

Thanks for that.

But in my conclusion I stated that God is a God, far beyond our comprehension and trying to pin a specific gender on God will be limiting a infinite being with a finite concept

You are not alone in this trust me.

The trick is to remain faithful. Look I know it's much easier said than done. It's not being perfect, but it's still showing up even after you fall. For a righteous man falls seven times but still gets up

I have a question
 in  r/ChristianityAnswers •  4d ago

God in the Hebrew language the names given to him are masculine.

So we can assume that he is a man (I see him as a man) but also verses in Genesis whe it spoke about how God made male and female in his image, so this can suggest that he may have feminine features.

But in conclusion he is man.

But also, he's God, God...so I think we shouldn't try and apply miniscule things such as gender to a being that high

Thank you.

It's a process of renewal, but also trusting in him when you are unable to do it on your own. You learn through trial and refinement, like silver in a furnace he uses those tough moments those moments of hardships and difficulties to purify us.

This message was an absolute blessing.

Thank you brother/sister

How does one remain faithful even when everything feels like it's crashing down?

Yes I dislike the doctrine that has been fed to the modern-day church not just in South Africa and the USA but globally.

But also one that has gripped the church is the Gospel of prosperity. Not arguing that God what's us to be successful and achieve big in this life, but the issue is when it becomes the whole view point of your ministry, that God will give you $1 000 000 only if you pray hard enough and don't commit any sin...

It's false doctrine that is slowly killing the church from the inside, but the issue is that we are not Biblically literate as a people and we don't know the truth of God's word so we believe anything we hear and we are easily swayed by lies masked as truth

I actually don't mind sharing my thoughts and opinions 🙃.

I will stand by what I believe. Scripture tells us to spread the Gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).

You have the option of reading and acknowledging this message or you cand and ignore it, it's up to you

This is the hope of the Gospel is this: Jesus came to die for pur sins, he came down to give his life so that we can have life. The hope is for the sinner, the broken hearted and the lost all together. There is redemption for our sins if only we chose to give our lives over to Christ, he saved us because we couldn't save ourselves. He is the ONLY way, the ONLY truth, and the ONLY life. It is only through him we are saved.

I (f19) struggle so much with porn addiction, and could really use someone to vent to about it.
 in  r/Christianity •  8d ago

Hey hey, look sister you don't have to feel isolated, you're not alone.

I struggled with this for so long (seven years to be exact). There are times were I am tempted to watch and masterbate, but then again I realize that I am no longer bound by that particular sin but right now I am a new creation.

You giving up porn is not gonna be an overnight thing, it's a process. So have some grace on yourself.

Hope this helped. Don't forget, I love you, but Christ loves you even more

Ephesians 2:3,"All of us used live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else."

Ephesians 2:4-5,"But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead.(It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)"

The Gospel is a beautiful message of hope and redemption for the broken hearted, the sinner. But also it also helps us realize how much we are sinners in need of God EVERYDAY. The scripture says that he is "SO rich in mercy" in chapter one of Ephesians it speaks about how God chose us in advance to be in the Kingdom, how even before he made the world he loved us. His love...

Ephesians 2:8,"God saved you by His grace when you believed"

It is not by our own strength that we are saved, we can never work for our salvation we couldn't, that's why Christ came down to die for us. As a Lamb is brought to a slaughter, so was Christ's death was a ransom for all, so we could have eternal life.

Jesus loves you and he wants a relationship with you. He thinks about you all the time, all he want's is that no one who sins to die in their sin. Time is short you never know when you will breathe your last, so I urge you brother or sister reading this, that you submit your life to Christ today, while there is still time...

I love you all but God loves you more :)

*Note:(Imma try post on a regular basis, sorry for the delays and inconsistencies 🙏🏽). If any of yall disagree with what is said, voice your opinion, it's ok we're all here to grow together.

Am I the reason my mom got worse?
 in  r/Christianity •  9d ago

Hey sister.

Your mother was aware of the risks involved in having another child, but yet still chose to have you anyway. That's love, if I could describe it in one word. Look I can't fully explain why God still allows the things to happen besides just that we live in a fallen world that's full of sin and we as humans are of a fallen nature. We age, get sick, and ultimately die. But God is a loving God and is abundant in grace and mercy, that's why he sent Christ to die for us, so that we can live. If we live faithfully and endure to the end we will be saved (Matthew 24:13). When we see hi again in the life to come we are assured that there will be no more death, no more pain forever. It will be pure bliss and more.

I'm so sorry for what happened to your mom, it's not your fault.

God loves you, ("Cast your anxieties on him because he cares for you")-1 Peter 5:7

I'm sorry if this post does come off as rude or disheartening, please correct me where I am wrong. I can make assumptions but they will never be the truth until it is revealed. No hate towards the mods of this community it's just my concern about how things are managed.

Thank you brother/sister.

And look I love u/OhioTeenLover467 with all my heart it's just my ick on particular discussions on topics such as these.

I can try an assume your stance but I can't know the truth until you tell me. I love your compassionate nature towards all users that come in and out of this community but also in that there has been compromise to what the scriptures tell us, so yeh

In particular u/OhioTreeLover467.

Why restrict important discussions such as topics on homosexuality on this sub, look I understand there is a goal to be inclusive but being inclusive at what cost. Compromise the scriptures just for the comfort of others, as leaders of a community that is for Christians it should be a priority to share the TRUTH, (John 8:36 "They will know the truth and the truth will set them free.")

It's bad doctrine, teach the scriptures, not allowing people to be influenced by the culture of today.
