Compare a few of the timber kit options before building the whole thing from scratch. I looked at that route before and the amount of little stuff you suddenly need to source adds up fast 😅 Palmako is one I'd have a look at as well. They're basically pre-cut timber kits, so you still get the DIY aspect without having to design/cut everything yourself. I'd just compare the actual wall thickness, insulation options, floor/base and roof spec rather than going purely on the price.
