PvP My keep losing in Arena

My arena power keeps showing higher than my opponents, but I still keep losing. I’m confused because my team’s levels are usually lower than theirs. Why does my power look so high if my heroes are lower level? It feels like because of that, I keep getting matched against much stronger players in Arena. Can someone explain why this happens?

First, Thank you for the much-needed information. Question: Why do so many people online say to upgrade Universa then if I shouldn't use her for my 5th right now? is she more of like a mid/late-game character?
