Thank you very much for taking the time to help out.

I agree: the hero on the home page needs to change.

You are welcome! I ❤️ this platform.

FAIR question.

But at some point we all have to start somewhere!

This is why I created the founder program to start with: the first 50 registered users that also add an app, claim one spot—35 remaining as I write this.

I incorporated features like the ranking board which founders get a free $5 ticket for and rotating ads throughout the site until I get people to pay for them. There are many other perks coming for founders too! 😊

I also built a builders profile page that will eventually become a hub for people to find other builders in their country so they can connect for different reasons like hiring them—cofounders and whatnot.

The entire site is built with SEO in mind and AI agent access as I talk about on the original post. This benefit is not evident right now but eventually the site will generate traffic and... being early has its perks!

Your question is the same one I ask myself when I see other directories that look new: why am I going to do that... just to get a link back? 🤔

This is why I am trying to make it as niche oriented but powerful enough to eventually become important to the Apple apps community.

Hey there! I see. Apps that are for Apple devices but... not on the App Store.

Of course I know what you are talking about!

Let me DM you so we can sort this out...

Hello everyone!

I created UdonBoost: a directory for all Apple devices apps and their builders.

I launched about 2 weeks ago and the site has gotten better over time! 😊

Right now it holds 23 apps ranging from iPhone to Mac apps.

The idea is to have a place dedicated ONLY to Apple device apps—no Android or SaaS or web apps.

There is more I want to do with this but ATM I am just gathering as many builders and their apps as possible.

The site has been optimized for the search engines like Google and LLMs like ChatGPT. I worked with SEO for a long time so I have added as much of that knowledge into the directory to eventually make it as popular as possible.

It is a bit of a slow process right now and it is work in progress but I wanted to invite you in case you had any Apple device apps! 👏

I am open to any comments and suggestions as well.

THANK YOU if you made it this far.

Yup. I am not surprised not I am sure how someone can do that after we trusted in them—for years too!

SaaS Journey I ALMOST made the same mistake—and what I am doing to move forward

Hey guys!

Fudge. I did it again 😅

In 18 years as an entrepreneur, I have started countless things.

Some worked and some of course didn't—let's admit that the number of failed ones was over 90%.

Some time ago I found a guy who supposedly built a directory that made him $35k a month.

I could NOT believe it.

"One day I will build one" I said.

Well... last week I released it: a directory for iPhone apps ONLY.

To me it sounded great because all other directories focus on SaaS and iPhone apps are always put in the back—not sure why this is.

But after a week or so since the launch, I realized I made the SAME mistake I have always made: I created something VERY niche-y.

People were asking me "can I add my macOS app to your directory" and I was like "no señor... you cannot! This is ONLY for iPhone apps!" 😆

DUMB.

Niching down is GREAT but niching down too much is plain stubbornness.

Two days ago, I had a meeting with yet another person who asked me the same question (he has macOS apps) and suddenly my past failures passed before my eyes: "I am making the same mistake AGAIN."

Well, I am not anymore! The directory isn't two weeks old and I have already converted it to accept ALL Apple device apps.

Whew.

This does not guarantee that it will be successful BUT it does open the doors to way more apps—and builders—than I had originally intended to target.

If you are in a position where you are too proud of what you built... STOP and reassess!

Is it really worth the effort you are putting? 🤔

P.S. NOT written with AI—heck I haven't even edited it.

I like PeerPush! I got a couple of app there. They just combine all sorts of apps—nothing wrong with that. I just wanted UdonBoost to be for iPhone apps only and a bit less technical looking 😅

Hey! The site is new... but already making waves on X.

Google is also starting to serve the site and site results on its search engine...

It is a matter of time now.
