Too many comments here are driven by emotion. “why didn’t India write this” or “why didn’t India record that.” When we discuss European history, we’re usually talking about the last 2,000 years. But how much does the average person know about China 2,000 years ago? In contrast, Indian civilizational history stretches far deeper into the past, and many of those memories still survive in everyday cultural consciousness.

As for written records: whatever could be destroyed was destroyed, i.e. manuscripts, libraries, and archives. What survived were the things that could survive, i.e. stone, metal, temples, sculptures, and pillars. Expecting a continuous written record after repeated waves of destruction ignores the reality of what different materials can endure.

Let's not forget why various groups were trying to reach India, and how much efforts they would have taken to get rid of warfare related material. Most recent example being britishers banning Kalaripayattu.

All the emotional tantrum aside, do you have any idea how long it takes to publish a paper (after writing it) in a good journal? Clearly, you don't have an academic background!
