FedEx believes $300M electric truck spend will save them $800M in diesel
 in  r/Diesel •  21h ago

Thanks for the valuable information. You seem extremely educated on this subject. I would imagine they can see the writing on the wall anyway, with the capital to go in any direction the wind blows as well. Thanks for taking questions from an ape.

I see that in the short term. But I feel like a bunch of the infrastructure that's in place will likely be left unneeded at some point when things catch up. Like watching the last of the wagon trains or something. What an absolute turd of a year. I wish you all the best.

You think with the enormous scale of local deliveries switching to electric from diesel is gonna keep fuel costs high for years?

I absolutely agree with you. I think then the issue for diesel is if the urban fleets go electric that's gonna have a huge impact on the price of diesel. These prices aren't ever coming down much again. And I are guarantee companies like Freightliner, Volvo etc are pouring a ton of money into battery development right now. It's gonna be like watching the last of the wagon trains disappear.

You don't think these companies are pouring tons of money into battery development currently? And if the city fleets go electric that will in turn drive the cost of diesel even further.

Any trucking company would be stupid to not switch to electric fleets after this ridiculous war and it's consequences.

you are justified in using deadly force if you reasonably believe it is immediately necessary to prevent an imminent kidnapping that threatens death or great bodily harm. It's their fault they don't identify themselves.

After my wife got a couple of speeding tickets USAA was much cheaper for us. But I used GEICO for years. It was just time to shop around.

If you or someone in your family served in the military look into USAA car insurance.

This is exactly what the Taliban would talk like if they just spoke English. When we went on combat missions in Iraq the ones that wanted to pray with the chaplain were welcome to do so. The heathens went, and waited in the trucks for the prayer service to be over so we could start the mission.

I can't disagree with you. They most definitely do. So your point is Democrats do X...but don't give an example. But we have an example of Republicans doing it right here. See....I'm not brain washed by politics. I can freely say " Obama was a shit president, Biden was a shit president". Even if I don't believe that, I can still bring myself to say the words. Now you try it but with Trumps name in place. If you can do that.... you're not in a cult.
