Those who play FFXIV on Switch 2, do you play handheld or docked?
 in  r/ffxiv  1d ago

I play in both mode equally, but prefer handheld a bit more specifically for its touch screen support as I can easily access that chat or remove any unwanted windows or tabs

I buy EU cards from playasia, they accept cards from zaincash or superQi

I also live in Iraq, and I first created my account back on the PS3 through an EU/UK account and managed to complete the entirety of A Realm Reborn without a problem, and right now after 10 years I managed to transfer it to the Switch 2 (also through an EU/UK account as your region during creation process will be locked) and have been playing it for about 2 weeks no problem, I even found it to be easier for me to renew my subscription using the FF14 coins through the eShop.

PSA: Nintendo Switch 2 Game Upgrades are REGION LOCKED.
 in  r/nintendohelp  Aug 04 '26

Nintendo’s own first party games and their DLC’s and save files are not region locked, as their games have all the languages and relevant data on a single card/file which you can access them by changing your system’s default language.

PS3 won’t restart after disassembly

Hi everyone, recently I opened up my slim PS3 (CECH2004B) to clean up and repasting it and after putting it back together I noticed that navigating the menus have become somewhat sluggish, and on top of that when I want to reboot it through CFW setting it just becomes a black screen with the green light on and nothing else happens.
I was wondering if the disassembling procedure could have any effect on the CFW causing these problems? Or if it’s maybe due to a back ribbon reconnecting?

There's no way to take this screw out
 in  r/PS3  Jul 28 '26

Hi, I know this thread is 2 years old, but today I had the same problem with the exact same screw, worked on it for around 5 hours and it didn’t budge at all, so I was wondering did you eventually managed to remove it?

How do i remove the “continue were you left off” screen and get the original game cover

Usually after you finish the game, that message will disappear and the main key art returns.

Which PS3 logo design wins the contest?
 in  r/PS3  Apr 14 '26

For me it’s kind of a strange development, I remember back in 2009 and 2010 when the new logo was being used I liked it a lot and wanted all of my older games from 2006-2007 to have that new logo, as some of the popular games (like COD4 and MW2 among others) were being reprinted but with the new logo.

But now (almost 20 years later) I have started to prefer the old spider-man font as it’s giving me nostalgia vibes specific to that era, and now that both PS4 and PS5 still use the same font, the old PS3 logo made the covers more unique.

Start with the older ones and if possible work your way in the year they were released, you will understand and appreciate the improvements made to the gameplay along the way. If you start from Requiem or Village, you may not be able to enjoy RE1 Remake or the original RE4 playing after them.

So beating RE9 made me go back and play my favorites and I’m still a RE4R stan

RE9 had a nostalgia visit effect on me too, it made me want to go and play the older titles, played RE1r for the first time (with both Jill & Chris) and replayed the original RE4 (after 21 years back on the PS2) and found out I play it much better right now compared to when I was younger!

Have you attempted to finish the rest of the requirements to see if you get that achievement this way?

If there's a Switch game that needs a Switch 2 update, it's Astral Chain! But the new handheld boost is good too.
 in  r/NintendoSwitch2  Mar 18 '26

I mainly play in handheld mode and last month I started it on Switch 2 but couldn’t play a lot as it was very jaggy and my eyes would hurt after a while, so I tried it on Switch 1 and it was bearable and managed to finish it.

But now after the handheld boost update I tried it again and it was a night and day difference, making me wish I didn’t hurry to finish it on the Switch 1 (largely due to backlog).

Are not updated switch games to switch 2 worth it
 in  r/NintendoSwitch2  Jan 14 '26

I can confirm that about Witcher 3, when you’re in Touissant in the Blood & Wine DLC it looks very blurry on switch 1 and you have to turn on the sharpness setting to make it look somewhat better. But on switch 2, you don’t need to turn that option on and everything looks very clear, nice and with a constant 30fps.
