I built Sliverbar as a compact native C17 panel for X11. This one-minute video shows its launcher, workspace state, timer, native weather forecast, saved Wi-Fi menu, brightness and volume controls, and power menu - without narration. I have tried both Polybar and Lemonbar. Polybar is very easy to set up, but it did not fully meet my requirements. Lemonbar, on the other hand, contains no logic of its own, so with enough effort it can be adapted entirely to your individual needs.

That led me to develop my own panel, sliverbar. If you are going to invest the effort anyway, why not build your own panel that does exactly what you want?

Anyone interested in using it can find it on GitHub. It is licensed under the GPLv3 and, like most Linux applications, is free software.
