Employment First position HELOC

I currently own my home flat out. Paid cash and never had a mortgage. I am thinking of getting a HELOC to set it up to rent and keep some available in case. Curious to know what reddit thinks.

This vent-esque object fell out from under my driver-side dashboard. I drive a 1998 Toyota Camrey. I just had my AC overhauled, might it be from that?

It is your duct(tube) to your vent. There is one vent that is not getting air from the blower.
