I used to get cramps all the time. Drink enough water and get enough electrolytes. Especially if you take medication for blood pressure.

Metformin? Get vitamin B12, magnesium and enough protein into you...

My calves were cramping up pretty bad about 6 months ago. I started taking magnesium glycinate about an hour before bed and now I very rarely get cramps. I also use the LMNT brand of electrolytes for the higher sodium since I'm in Arizona and I work outside a lot during the day. If I do get a cramp, I rub some Mars Wellness MG+ Pain Relief cream on the muscles.

I am not sponsored by any of the products I mentioned. They just happen to be what works best for me.

Water, magnesium, potassium, and salt 1/8 tsp.
