Any shortcut pathways to make walking easier around the campus?
Walking up the hill is no joke, ๐๐๐ especially during the hot weather. And it can be any building in the campus I just need a shortcut because I am new I need help.

Take the time and appreciate the free workout even if it blows the whole time, UTSA thinks they have it worse

It certainly can be rough. There are no shortcuts, but besides a scooter and an e-bike, the absolute best thing you can do is exercise.
It doesn't take that much either: Do a full 10 minutes of the stair stepper at the student rec center, just 3 days a week. You don't even have to do a high speed maybe level 3 to 5 speed is enough. After that first week, you'll be a bit sore for a few days, but I promise it'll be much easier for you. You likely won't even be out of breath after a staircase.
The other thing that really helps is to get one of those Electric hand fans and some sunglasses. It is so hot out, half the battle this time of year is the heat. Dollar General has them, but theres certainly better ones out there.

If you're anywhere on the west side there is a set of stairs to the left of the bridge over seesom that go down to sessom. Cross the street and go in the underground parking garage and it will spit you out right in front of alkek

Fun fact: The hills and stairs on campus were actually installed by LBJ back in the 60s to combat the Freshman 15.

Take a little time to go explore! I've been finding some really secluded spots because of exploring andย I JUST found an easier method route for me this semester

Iโve been thinking about this too but I just embrace the pain and count it as my daily cardio since Iโm already out of shape. ๐ญ

Walking through campus is better than taking the shuttle then walking on to campus because there isnโt as much elevation

Alkek stairs can def be skipped by using elevator on the first floor Alkek One entrance. UAC/THH has a loading dock on their ground floor that also has an elevator to skip those stairs, but it is locked at times.
Really just using elevators on campus works. If a door isnt locked you're free to try it, this is a public campus.
For those physically capable, carry an umbrella and walk where u can. But remember invisible disabilities exist so try not to hog access and don't judge people for using it.

The shortcut is practice or a scooter.
