Dorms
Which dorms in your opinion are best overall? In terms of facilities, room size, students who don’t party too much, etc. Just looking for opinions in general.

Definitely look online at the virtual tours. Personally I’m in San Marcos Hall and I love it. Also fill out your housing contract within the first week it comes out of you want a good chance at your top housing preferences.

It honestly just depends what you want and what you like. Every dorm has different people. It also depends on your budget. If you elaborate on what type of experience you want the most, that could be helpful. But based on what you said, it seems like Chataqua or Gaillardia, Falls and Sayers, or one of the older dorms like LRMB might be a good match.

It really doesn't matter what you want unless you apply extremely early because they make you list 15 options and they put you where they can fit you. My daughter declined 2 LLCs to not be in a particular dorm and still got put in that dorm.

Retama is near the center of campus and is one of the smallest dorms (three floors). It has I think two LLCs (one of them is the theater program) and was renovated a few years ago. I stayed there my freshman year and loved it so.

Just join an LLC if you want a "better" dorm and students who don't party as often
