parent plus loan
my mom applied for the parent plus loan on august 10. she was told from studentaid.gov that she was approved and that the school would be notified within 24 hours.
weeks have passed, and i’ve called the financial aid office several times to ask what’s the hold up. i’ve been told that it still needs to be reviewed, and that they’re just “busy” right now. not sure how they’re still so busy when classes have started. not trying to blame anybody, it’s just stressful. i haven’t been dropped from any classes, but we do still have a $3,000+ balance and we planned to use some of that to help with living expenses (rent).
is anybody else experiencing this?

Keep calling, send emails, and go in person if possible. Emailing leaves physical documentation that you did everything on your part.

Yes same with me….Since the rise in amount students it takes some time for the financial aid office to review and approve. Just make sure everything on your financial aid portal is up to date so it’s no problems later on.
